How are all you new mummies doing?

I was talking to a girl I know who has a 9 month old, who suffered badly from reflux like Hayley. And she went to Yorkhill hosp. to see a specialist and they told her to wean at 4 months as that'll be the only thing to truly help her reflux.

So I'm starting to think I might start giving Hayley food, cos I was going to wait til 6 month but im abit unsure now whats best

Kaedin have you tried putting her on her side to sleep? I think that helps with reflux too..
If I was in your situation i reckon I'd be weaning more towards the 4 month mark than the 6 (I'm not in your situation but I'm still weaning at 17 weeks)
But it's a personal choice and you know Hayley better than anyone else x

I'm going to start from 17 weeks too Macie is drinking crazy amounts of milk n then crying with belly ache I just think she needs something else My Hv said it's up to me but to make sure not to give her any gluten before 6 months but a bit of fruit n veg isn't going to hurt I don't no many mummies that have waited until 6 months you know your baby and 6 months is more 4 the baby led weaning which I don't like xx

I'm on the verge of moving from just baby rice to other foods now. He loves a suck on a nectarine, strawberry and apple so I'm thinking it's all good to go.

4 month period is a pain, Thomas got a cold around them and he's sleep really suffered. He's back to sleeping through now. Did 9.30 till 7.15 last night and then after a nappy change slept til 9.45

Oscar had a spoonful of baby rice , a chunk of banana and an Oz of baby milk all mashed and mixed together and he loved it!!

I use baby rice with a fruit in the morning and am giving him a cube or 2 of veg in afternoon- I introduced them
Separately for a few days now am starting to mix - so he had broccoli and sweet potatoe yesterday and enjoyed that :)

Have butternut quash to try tomorrow when I've steamed it down and made it :)

Aw i honestly just love it jojo!!

OMG who has swapped my baby?! After 2 months of sleeping til at least 730, S woke up whimpering at 130, left her for 5 mins but she was getting sadder and sadder so picked her up for a shoosh back to sleep and she had so much wind coming from her bum :-( I felt terrible cos I had tried burping her for ages last night and nothing so put her down cos she was fast asleep! Anyway she wasn't settling and chewing on my neck and her hand so held her out as long as poss but gave her a bottle and she sank 7oz!! It's either the heat (her rooms 25) or maybe time to think about weaning :-O

4 month sleep regression or a growth spurt maybe?

Hello from Thailand! Emma having a nap so catching up on everything. Gonna have to look up that trailer! What's the guys name?

Cool photo Jojo!

So the flight over was quite good. Although there was another baby over the aisle, and they just set each other off each time one cried, the other did. Annoying, but bound to happen. Thein when we got here, my bowl for sterilising and bottle washing managed to get a crack in it, then ants got in her formula!grrrr. Just hope I've got enough left to last the trip, otherwise I'll just have to use the formula and mix with boiling water to kill any germs. Got all the ants out but 1.

Hellloooo toria! Hope you have a blast. I could never do all that, you are officially super mum

I'm gonna need a holiday after this!lol. And it's only day 2. Although not having to cook and clean and do washing is great :-)

My hv told me citrus fruits were a no-no intI'll 6 months but I don't know why.

There's a really annoying kid waiting for the metro clicking his tongue - he's old enough to know better and it's irritating Luke... Then his dad thought it was hilarious and joined on the tongue clicking... I'm about to sew their mouthes shut!!

Luke sat up for the first tone on his own at bounce and rhyme - just for about 5 seconds bit I feel better now that he's moved on a bit.

Yea citrus, gluten and dairy are 6+ month thing so I've read but hey it's upto you :)

Toria!! Glad the flight was ok! Can you not make the formula with a hot shot to kill any germs then add cool water - like a prep? I'm sure it won't harm with boiling water :)

Just googled it a nectarine isn't a citrus fruit. I really didn't know that. Everyday is a school day!

I never knew either! I was thinking about getting Luke one of those things they suck and you put fruit in them and they suck all the juice out

I've got one jojo! It's like a net and you stuff food in? I'm going to freeze some banana and pop it in next week and see what he thinks about it

Great for teething :)

That's what I was thinking. Although getting Luke to have anything cold is almost impossible!

Oscars nursery at grandmas! You can't see the wardrobe etc!
