How are all you new mummies doing?

Can u buy some pre made from boots at the airport? Xxx

^wss

I'm sure they'll sell it but you could always ring/tweet/fb to enquire to be in the safe side? On the way back is harder.

Can you take an empty flask? I'm not sure of rules as is been a couple of years. You could get one of the bars or eateries to fill it with hot water?

Yeah there's a boots airside which I'm sure will have pre made formula. Just thinking they check again before boarding.

Yes got a flask. I was thinking I might see if I can fill the flask and fill some bottles to cool too. I've got my travel kettle too. Oh said he will dis-own me if I plug it in and start boiling my own water in the lounge!lol

I had also thought I'd use bottled water to make up formula while away, but just read it's not recommended do to added minerals and salt!

Toria you can order the formula you need from the airside boots in advance and they have it ready for you - baby milk is excluded from the regulations so no worries about taking it through

Good plan. Thanks. Have you looked in to all of this with your upcoming trip? :-)
Now to try and convince Emma to go back on to normal formula from this thick anti reflux one.

I just read the heathrow website and it says all per made formula and baby food should be packed in the hold luggage. All very confusing!

Just looked it up and there's an email address to pre order. Yippee, that's one issue solved. Thanks ladies.

Toria if you look on government website it does say that baby formula is exempt and you can take enough for the flight in hand luggage.

Bex, glad you had such a good time.

Nearly new sale was a massive success. I got a activity/ sit in walker for £7 (was thinking if getting one new but this will do for the time being!) got an inflatable ring Thomas can sit in for £5, a door bouncer for £5 and a load of other stuff which was really cheap and in great condition.

Thinking that's all I'll get used now as I really like getting new things and getting fed up of disinfecting all the other stuff! Still might end up getting a new door bouncer and walker and selling these on

I didn't know these places existed either in the uk! Truely beautiful! Was so gob smacked!

Just the washing to catch up on now zzzzzz

Hubby trying to push me to start weaning Oscar! Bloke won't stop banging on about it ! He knows the book stops with me when it comes to these decisions but he's pressing hard - so to shut him up I'm going to start making some purée for freezing lol - he can then feel like I'm a step closer lol ! X

I was thinking about starting this week but I'm wimping out abit. Not sure if he's ready. He's very interested in food and getting distracted drinking his milk. But I'm very much a rules person so think I should be waiting another 4 weeks

Oscar grabbed my fork the other day lol! And if I hand him his dummy/teether he will grab it and put it in his mouth ( most the time his aim is spot on )

He will watch me eat and takes medicine really well! As he's on reflux formula it's really thick too! As thick as a runny purée so I know he would prob take it well

I am not so much a rules person but there's some things I feel quite strongly about and weaning is one of them lol!

Good buys from nearly new sale I see! :) great stuff!

I'm still not having specific meal times for Emma just giving her a taster of something every day,. Just so she gets used to moving food from front to back of her mouth. Some of the purees are so watery they are thinner than her formula so she's trying to drink it. Haha.

Kathryn those are all the things I need to buy, but don't want to pay heaps for something Emma may not like.

I'm still in two minds re weaning don't no what to do we will see so many for and against arguments re feeding at 4 months arghh it stresses me out lol xxxx

I'm just going to go along with Oscar ... He will in sure demand some food and make me aware that's what he wants at some point in the near future lol

I thinking if I waited until 6 months like would start eating his cot lol of course some babies are ready at 4 months and some aren't.

His hand mouth co-ordination isn't quite there yet so I'm thinking of leaving it abit

Do you reckon if I keep just giving him milk he'll stop ageing?? He's growing up too quickly

Just catching up ladies! Think I'll leave S with weaning just now. Hv and the book I have, can't remember the name, says baby rice from 17 weeks and then other things from 6 months. S doesn't seem that interested yet at 16 weeks tho so gonna wait til she shows more of a need for something other than milk.

Re airport toria I've researched it and gonna order to boots in edinburgh and that'll do me the whole time. Easyjets policies say it's not included in the barred liquids tho but they may make you try it. It's all a minefield tho!

What bargains you got pumpkin!

God today has been a funny day, thinking I may have pmt!! After this morning rant, my day just got worse and I've been chasing my tail and with the shortest temper! Can't even bring myself to do my positives thing on Facebook cos I'm struggling to think haha! Hope you have all had a good sat x
