How are all you new mummies doing?

I find the whole maternity pay, childcare costs thing a joke tbh. It just infuriates me how hard working people seem to get penalised

Don't get me started

Why should someone who has no need for childcare get free hours

Like someone seeking job seekers or subject to immigration control gets 15 hours free at 2 years old? Wtf?

I get so infuriated with it - it makes me want to go slaughter someone like David Cameron

What does everyone do with their LO's cuddlies? Luke has a hippo blanket/comforter he won't sleep without but I sneak In and remove it before I sleep
- what age can u stop removing it?

Why do you remove it? Oscars had a stinky blanket since a baby - he now sleeps with teddies aswell

I think it's habit tbh. He used to like to put it over his face and I'm a worrier so I took it away . He has his teddy in his cot and a frog he cuddles sometimes but I guess I was always just paranoid that he would suffocate himself and now I'm just in the habit.

Material is breathable - he's a lot older now - maybe try it one night and see how he is and how you feel x

Emma sleeps with a bunny in her cot, and about 4 or 5 little blanket things (manky's!) she puts over her face. The blanket things go everywhere with us. Well one of them anyway. They get dropped all over the place so I usually wash about 3 a day.

I don't know who decided about the whole childcare thing, but they obviously don't have kids.

I just had a guy at the door about driveways. Our driveway is awful - basically a few strips of concrete with what used to be grass in the middle (now mud). It really needs doing. I said we can't afford to have the drive done and he said had we had competitive quotes and I repeated, probably too loudly, that we can't afford a new driveway. Seriously, my entire wage plus £25 went on my car this month.

Dan sleeps with his toy dog and a couple of other soft toys. I first allowed it when he was around 10/11 months old, I think. Certainly not for ages, but he absolutely loves his little toy dog, Henry - he uses him as a pillow!

Thomas sleeps with a dog toy and a comforter. Anything else I out in there I take out when he's asleep

Luke has his hippo toy and his blind beR that he loves and goes "bueba" when he has it lol but he likes to snuggle with hector his hippo and he keeps hold of his dummy for nap time and bedtime.

Austin sleeps with his 3 ewans! Has done for months. He rolls over & winds up cuddling another one

Oh my days! Have you all seen there is a new jam and feb mummies thread! Feels so weird

Oh god!

Just think a it what we were all doing this time last year?

I was almost finishing working! And I was waddling for Britain haha xx

If you 2 were waddling I dunno how I looked with that awful spd! I could barely walk on certain days. So glad it disappeared quickly after birth!
