I'm feeling very nesty today, got loads of (well needed) housework done but i'll be dead to the world later no doubt.

How do you all keep your houses tidy and clean?? I don't know how im going to keep up with this all when I have 2 kids under 2

Housework!!! whats that PP - can you explain

I wing my way along between work, school , after school clubs, swim lessons, cubs and scouts, homework, and so my house is a lovely tip and the ironing looks like the leaning tower of Pissa!

I would love to know how some ladies manage it all

Id love to know the answer to this too as both my children will be under 2 as well :)

I'd love to know how some people manage it too. I've only got the one (well two if you count my OH) :) and I know I work 30 hrs a week but I do find the housework hard to keep on top of since I've had Evie, and JJ I bet my ironing pile could beat yours at the mo!!! It's massive

Ha Pippa , you just wait till Evie boo gets school uniform!! 4 skirt/dress or trousers, 4 t-shirts , 4 jumpers ! (each child) I know it's a rubbish system, but I iron every morning what we will wear for the day, wastes 30 mins of every morning!

Mine were 2 weeks off , being 3 under 3 and do you know I don't think I actually did housework! Go out to meet friends instead!

The health vistors allways get suspious when they see a spotless house when you have a newborn, and keep visiting you... arghhhhh

I do things when my 19 month old sleeps or just as I go along. I cleaned the bathroom while she helped/watched today. I can manage so long as I just keep on top of things. I've sent my ironing to be done recently when I got behind with it but other than that I dont find it too difficult. :)

Ah yes the school uniform!! I've ironed for my OH, Evie and me the last 3 mornings too as everything is in the ironing and I've just not had the energy to do it. I'm off for 3 days now so it's top (ish) of my list xx

Lol! I've only just done mine  and I've just cleaned the lounge and kitchen as everybody else is in bed!!

I have made a promise to myself that I won't let my ironing get above the top of the basket. I can't stand there and iron a heap of stuff as I get backache now so I do it as I go along, I have to walk past my utility room as I go to the kitchen and I hate seeing the counter full of ironing so it makes me keep it clear.

My OH has just offered to do the vacuuming until after the baby is born as we have 3 levels to the house - he works four on four off so inbetween I have a brush sweeper which works brilliantly. I clean my shower when Im in it, if I squeegy the doors it keeps them cleaner for longer and also after a shower, it prevents water marks. I have a book called 'Speedclean' which is totally ace :)

Im always trying to put things away, it drives me mad if there is 'stuff' in the kitchen or just laying around. I think I will just have to give in for a while when the baby arrives :)

I'm not in the same boat at the minute but when DD was between 1 1/2 to 3 I'd encourage her to 'help' and she'd really get into it (she cleaned the cat with a duster once-not sure he actually noticed!). I find it harder now she's older as she's less inclined to tidy up after herself (which she gets from me!) x as for housework I iron sitting down because of my back and I do it in the evening when watching tv. Hoovering, cleaning bathroom and washing clothes gets done during the day when she's at school and OH takes care of the kitchen even though I'm the one who cooks and makes it messy! Lol x

Housework?!? I can't even keep the house tidy at the moment with one child. I don't even want to think about how it will look with two.. :oooo:

At the moment we do a big clean every saturday moring and then little bits during the week. But at the end of the week the place is a totall mess

But then again there are more important thing then a spotless house in my opinion!

How come??

Because its a sure fire way to show your not coping and trying to prove to them you are before they turn up! My first health visitor kept coming back to my house convinced I was not coping with my first, and she was right to be honest. second time I was confident enough to let it slide and do what was actually needed to be done, look after baby and myself.

i hate house work especially at minutes i am just sooo tired all the time xx
