My OH and I decided on a boys name but then I went off it after my family all said they hated it! Now the majority of my friends have said they like it so I'm back to maybe...was just wondering what everyone on here thought!

The name is Casey so he would be Casey Daniel Cox...does it sound too American? And does the double C clash? :/ honest opinions, I won't be offended as I'm on the fence myself!

I think of it as a girls name! I don't think the two Cs are a problem though.

I also think of it more as a girls name, sorry x

I know a boy called Casey but when I met him my initial thought was it was a girls name. x

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, its very feminine....we got it from Home and Away and the guy called Casey on it is very masculine so its not a problem for him, but who knows if LO would be able to pull it off :L also, when I mentioned this to OH he got very defensive , 'of course my boy will be the manliest man ever!!!' lol

I know what you mean, I had this problem with my last baby. My husband wanted to call him Ellis but people said to me it was a girls name, we settled on it being his middle name. If you love it then go for it, it shouldn't matter what other people think. x

Never new it was a unisex name always thought it was a girls name. I know to females called Casey

Tbh I do think its a very American name , but if you like it Hun go for it x

It *is* American sounding. And to me, a girl name.

I know a boy and a girl casey- suits either equally

Oh and as for american names - love them, other than the sugery girls names...

do you like Corey?

Hmmmm I reckon if you spelt it different you could get away with it. Kasey appears more masculine I think just because of the spelling.

I have 2 cousins one is Codey a girl, and one is Kodie a boy. So I do think regardless of the sound of the name if you change the spelling it can work x

I agree with Rambo, kasey is more masculine. X

Tapalking so can't see signatures! :-(

Tambo not Rambo lol x

The first thing I thought of was Casey Junior, the train off Dumbo lol. I think it's a lovely name and because of Casey Junior I have always associated it as a boy's name. If you really love it, go for it,don't be put off what others think xx

My mate just called her lttle girl Hayden males name and american soundig but little Hayden has made it her name she owns it... The names just a name its the baby that makes it no mayter what it is if you like it go for it xx

I thought of casey from home and away too! I think it's lovely for a boy x
