hi all iv just joined this site, ill tell you my short story and it would be great if i could get some opinions?

i found out i was pregnant for hte first time about 2 weeks ago after ttc for a few weeks. my last period was 15th aug n the test said 1-2 weeks so ill assume im about 4 weeks roughly. the docs put me as 7 weeks due to the period and everything was fine just waiting 4 the midwife to book us in.

the tuesday last week i started to bleed, red but no cramping so i went to the docs who said its a threatened miscarrage and booked me for a scan at the hospital. i went there on thurs and had the scan but there was nothing there at all . the nurse said my lining is only 4mm thick when it should be at least 12.
she said its either a miscarrage or its far to early to see anything.
they sent me to gyne where i did a urine test which was positive n the doc examed me. she said my cervix is closed so its prob not a miscarrage but it may have already happened. i had my bloods done n my first hcg level has come back at 870. i get my next lot tomo.
i know i have to wait to find out tomo n theres nothign i can do till then, i just wanted to know what people thought or if anyone has had this happen to them?

just t add that the bleeding has pretty much stopped today but the last couple of days its been red for a few mins n then brown all day, red again for a few mins in the mornign n then brown again....

thanks guys! im just wishign the time away till tomo when i will finally find out if my little bean has stuck or not! im praying so so much!
also i start my new job tuesday so i wanted a little time to get over it if its bad news but it never works out that way does it
typically its in the baby room of a nursery too....

hi hun i had bleeding at 5weeks 4 days well thats how far they said i was when they done the scan all was ok i hope all is well for u they have told me i will get it again i had it most morning for a week now all is ok just waiting till the 14th nov to see my little bean again x

thanks guys, iv rung the hospital and they said they r really busy and they will call back.. how frustrating, its liek doomsday alll this waiting. even i fi get a positive answer today im now freakign out coz i had a clot this mornign n a bit of red blood.... i thought i shud put a pad on just incase but theres nothign on the pad 5 hours later and only a small red stain on the tissue when i go to the loo......

i know this sounds gross but when i saw the clot i just sat there lookign at it thinking is that my baby....
so if i get a positive result im goign to be doubting it coz of this clot. it wasnt a red clot like a pinky/brown one it may have had discharge n blood mixed im not really sure....

anyone had similar?

I havent had any experience with this hun...but want to offer you hugs and prayers that ur little bubba is sticky! I know that there have been a lot of ladies that have experienced bleeding and clots but all has been okay...so i will continue crossing my fingers for you and hope the hospital gets back to you asap. xxx

just an update, my levels dropped so looks liek its a miscarrage

had a phone call from the hospital and my levels have gone up again.
1st was 860
2nd was 754
3rd was 1257!!!!!!

what the hell!

Wow...that's a little wierd...?? Sorry, this is my first time pregnancy so I cant offer much advice, but if your HCG has gone up that much, surely thats a good sign...?

is there a chance of twins in ur family as that could explain all of this if one twin didnt stick and thats what made the hcg drop and now that twin is gone the other one can get all the hormones going again?
