hi jemfox, I think you are right to go back later to work. I thankfully feel better so managing work ok but it does tire me out loads. 3pm sounds like a reasonable time to get up x

ive been online looking at baby girl bits.....im actually getting excited and enjoying being pregnancy today lol. it seems very real now to me.

hoping the sickness doesn't last to much longer for us! we have gone long enough surley?!?

glad your feeling ok mummymidwife, I wish I could go back to work just to feel a little bit normal again but I darnt to be honest. I collapsed on a ward infront of patients and staff when I did my phased return a few weeks ago so was slightly embarrassing!

Hav u tried clicking on the manage attachments that's below the text box? Aww it's lovely when ya get al excited isn't it! Some days it doesn't seem real and then other days it just hits me like omg am gona hav an actual baby ha, aww yes jemfox! We r tha 10% of ppl who get HG for it to carry on longer than usual I think! We have so sufferd enuff now! av gt tha consultant agen on the 18th if am still no better than this I think I may try the steroid injections and see if they help xx

had u heard about hyperemesis before u was pregnant rhea? I hadn't all I knew was kate middleton was rly ill in hospital, and was naïve thinking what I was experiencing was just morning sickness until doctor told me im actually quite poorly!

if steroids are safe for baby then do it! I know I would, we deserved a bit of a break to feel human again, I was worried bout being on tablets for so long but know I couldn't have done it without.

swear I just felt a boot to my bladder though! wasn't pleasant coz felt like I was guna wee myself but I don't mind lol yay xx

n no Hun I had never heard of hyperemesis, I memba hearing bout Kate Middleton bein in hospital becoz of severe morning sickness n I sed omg she's only in hospital becoz she's a princess why dusnt she hav a ginger biscuit like everyone else! Haha am eating my words now rnt I haha, yes the steroids r safe for the baby am under a really good consultant so I really trust what's she says I shud try/prescribes, am just wary about Havin to hav more medication but if am still feelin this bad am gona hav to try it, ano I feel bad all the time about all the medication am on n now il probs need antibiotics for me chest! But r lil babas r well protected n tough lil cookies

This might b a weird question but has ur belly gone hairy? Ha mine has! I haven't for tha line tha runs frm belly button but av got loads of blonde fine hair all over my bloody belly am turning into a wolf ha xx

Aw jemfox, I missed the fact you are having a little girl ))))))) congrats, little girls are so much fun to buy for, can't say the same for boys, I still loved buying things for my boy but to this day I still prefer buying for my little girl so much to choose from, really can't wait now , 13 days til my scan to find out.
I totally understand you not going to work after your phased return, I wasn't off continuously, it was more like off one shift than worked 2 then off again etc so never went on doctor's line so it was easier going back. But the only reason I went back so early was that I was feeling really depressed to the point I was in tears all the time, so needed to get up and do something, but was lucky that I started improving at the same time, otherwise I would had probably thrown up and collapsed when delivering a baby lol and sent home ! your body will tell you when you are ready to go back for now just get better !

Rhea, your baby will be fine hun, don't worry ... I worry too, but I know from experience that babies are very resilient, all the medication you have been taking has been used by other ladies before so just try getting better even if you have to tk the steroids. The most important thing is that you are well !

I had HG before so knew how bad it could get, I suppose people may think I am just overacting to 'normal' morning sickness too , it is difficult for people to understand if they haven't experienced it !?!

Is your bump 'hairy' down from your belly utton like in the midline or hairy in general? X

I thought the same as you rhea, there were 2 girls at work who were pregnant too but a lot further along than me and when they had morning sickness I was like man up but I am defiantly eating my words now.!!

people should be made more aware about hyperemesis I think, I was incredibly naïve before I was pregnant.

yes ive got fine hair too! and on my face embarrassing! guessing its normal though? I haven't got the line either, just like fine blonde baby hair, im brunette so glad its not dark!!

aww thanks mummy midwife! the build up to finding out was so exciting and im loving buyin little girly bits, im so glad your starting to improve, I wouldn't wish going weeks and weeks with this on anyone!

Jemfox aww I take back all my bad comments towards the princess ha ano I was so naive I thought I'd sail thru it, my mum had had 5 kids and 2 of them r twins n she never sufferd with sickness, or heart burn, spd absolutely nothin! She always had lovely Pregnancys so I thought I wud too, they say HG can run in the family but no other family member of mine has had it just me,, aww we have started of a chain now we will hav to warn r daughters when ther older they may suffer wi some sickness if they ever get pregnant :/ ha, glad to no am not the only hairy one haha

Yeah I think it's the hormones hun , everything changes so much , I am covered in spots on my face, hardly glamorous or blooming like :/ x

Oh I look far from blooming! Am practically see thru av never looked so pale in all my life!! My skin is actually very clear as I haven't had no makeup on for weeks which has done wonders for my skin ha

Am sure u will be blooming with a lovely pregnancy glow soon Hun il get my glow once the placenta has came out afta the baby ha xx

sooo ive just been violently sick, felt like litres of yellow water...sorry tmi. omg that was horrible, even made husband come in bathroom to check I was ok....gutted

I took my meds about 20mins before do guess ive sicked them up....I cant take again can I? xx

I've been sick again this evening before dinner luckily. I am hoping my dinner stays down though. I hadn't heard of HG before my first pregnancy either, I knew what to expect this time, but that hasn't made it any easier to deal with. In fact I feel stupid for putting myself through it again, when I know how awful it was last time just looking after myself. I get jealous of these ladies that don't find out their pregnant until their 4/5 months, which means they had no sickness what so ever. xx

aww kanga mine was before dinner too which I forced down but knew it would make me feel better, hopefully it was a one off, the tablets normally stop me from being sick!

since ive been on work Ive been watching a programme called 'I didn't know I was pregnant' and they literally don't until they give birth!
im sitting there shouting at the telly like......HOW?! WHY?!

Sorry had missed that post lol I know it was the last thing on my mind when I had HG 1st time round, I thought I would never ever do it again. But I felt better at 19 weeks and felt really well for the rest of the pregnancy, I then didn't want my little boy to be an only child and I became really broody straight away lol then had bad sickness with my 2nd but not as bad as before and felt ok from tri 2. I thought it would be the same this time around but nope, this one has been the worst! Never again I , I will remember it this time! U might change your mind later on, but if not at least you will have your gorgeous girl

I have just been sick in the middle of watching benefits street it all just got too much lol I feel better for throwing up tho x

Kanga and jemfox, I am joining the club tonight after being sick I hate these women too who just go through pregnancy like nothing has happened... I have honestly seen a girl who was in utter and complete shock as she was brought round from A&E in labour and she didn't know she was pregnant and she didn't look pregnant either, so skinny and the baby was born in a couple of hrs , good weight! I don't wish that but I do wish I did a pregnancy test and got told I was 12 weeks along and ready for my scan. No sickness, no worrying about miscarriage, not lying to work or friends cause you feel blah but don't want to share the news yet etc

But in the real world I too feel a bit stupid kanga, why did I put myself through this? I thought I would be better by now that's why ... but I had some good days recently so hoping I will get more good days than bad days!

It sucks when you are sick after meds, I have always got to try and time it and see if I can keep them down for at least 40 minutes but sometimes you just can't help being sick



I have got my make up back on during the day as these spots need hiding ! Fx for a good day all round tomorrow girls x

Oh no mummy midwife we are a right bunch today ain't we, I watched benefits street too lol.

I sometimes feel the sickness rising and try my best to hold it but makes me feel worse lol.

Oh fun times! What we put ourselves through!


I honestly don't understand how u cannot know ur pregnant? They say if ur not trying for a baby or thinking about it u can miss the signs, but really? I've got a friend who didn't find out until she was 24 weeks, im noticeably preggers at 21 weeks but she didn't even look it! Crazy!

Yes tonight we have been quite a bunch !

I don't know how you can miss you are pregnant either, it's all the kicking from baby and your boobs , everything changes so much, in the 3rd trimester you feel heavy, Braxton hicks and huge movements from baby etc. I didn't think it was possible to miss these things but yep it does happen ��
