Head Scratcher...

Literally! I'm a little bit concerned that for 3 days now Phoebe keeps scratching the back of her head, the same place and there's nothing there :S she will not leave it alone. I've had to put scratch mitts on her and she still tries to get at it. There is no mark there apart from where she's scratched it and she seems well otherwise.

Any ideas?

mine always scratches at her right temple when she is tired. i ahve given up trying to stop her as its her way of getting to sleep. i just make sure her nails are really short so she doesn't do any damage. she self soothes by sucking on her hands so can't put scratch mitts on her either!

Thankyou, she doesn't seem to be doing it to comfort herself though, it's almost like something's irritating her :/. It's really strange :S xx

Could it he dry skin? Maybe rub a little oil on the spot to see if that eases it.
