Gross question

Is it normal for all the semen to run out of you as soon as you stand up, before you get to the bathroom, or even before you stand up, if you haven't put your legs in the air?

Yep, happens to me all the time. In theory, a good bit of it gets shot up inside the cervix if you're fertile, and that bit doesn't come out (gets stuck in the cm and starts swimming away...), but a lot of it will end up out of you if you get up right away. The theory is that laying down for 20 minutes after bd-ing will give the spermies a chance to get to the opening of the cervix, and then all that is left is the seminal fluid that they...um...arrived in.

i find that it does all run out when im not OVing or at my most fertile. this is because (i think) your CMs consistancy is designed to keep it up there ready for the egg!

i might be totally wrong!

I must store the little swimmers really high because its still coming out the day after. but i dont go to the toilet until im really desperate in the night after BDing! some does come out on the toilet tho!

Oh right, I was worried that mine might not be getting deposited high enough with it all running out straight away.

Does your OH get grossed out when you are stood there catching it all with a wad of tissues? If I walked to the bathroom to sort it out, it would all end up on the floor on the way there.

We always make sure we have something closeby to shove underneath us before we 'dislodge', so to speak. It's sort of a ritual with us. lol

I wouldn't put on a tampon, but I've actually used toilet paper to keep the excess semen/spermies from coming out. Anyhow, find what is best for you and do that. Sending babydust your way
