PreSeed

Well been trying since july, bfp in july but i had very low hcg that wasnt rising properly and dipping and rising, they thought it was ectopic and i spent most of the time in and out of a and e and my doctors and on anti biotics plus had a bad kidney infection, and constipation for 7-8 days solid so i spent weeks in agony and it didnt stand a chance, not a pleasant time at all ended in a m/c in august - did have one try last month on any old day with the preseed, and a good go this month charting and with preseed only cd10/ov (which i think was the day!) and i feel fine this time! Just hoping everything goes right.

i think you may as well use the whole tube, but some might come out - they could have used less and put more tubes in i think.

I agree! I think the amount that is in 6 tubes could have filled 10?
I've just started using it this month and I use about 3/4 tube but don't bear down as I want it to stay up near cervix to help the swimmers!

My DH has also commented that after the 1st try using the whole tube it was 'a bit slippery and not much friction' !!!! LOL at least he didn't say windsock!!!

Aww, sorry to hear that. Hope it all goes well this time.

Oh my God, Preseed is not for me! I think I'm allergic to it. I put it in while laying down and half of it leaked straight out. We BDd, then while I was laying there with my legs in the air, my bits felt like they were on fire. So I got up after half an hour and what a mess it makes, lol. All over my wooden floor and that was with tissue being held under me. So I went to the bathroom to have a look at the damage and my bits are red and a bit swelled. So I got washed and put the shower head on there. Then I took a Piriton. I take them everyday for my allergies, but have only been taking one a day since TTC, but had to take another one. So it will be a miracle if I do get pregnant this time, as I probably washed all the swimmers away! I hope it hasn't done anything to my insides.

Anyway, my cousin is TTC, so I will give the PreSeed to her, but warn her about it first!

Oh no, that's such a shame Cori

If you can take the cough medicine guaifanesin (sp) it may be worth trying that instead of pre seed.

I don't know if I would risk the cough medicine either, cos I'm funny with most of them. I took one once, I can't remember what it was called, it begins with 'V', and I got bad palpitations. My heart was racing. Benylin's not much better. The only cough medicine I can take is Buttercup Syrup and I doubt that will get me pregnant :rotfl:

omg corri  you must have been alergic to something or super sensitive!!
aww what a shame
Maybe just go with what youve got naturally down there, wouldnt risk that again!

try eating a spoonfull of honey each day leading up to ovulation, that helps increase cm and is natural so hopefully won't affect your allergies

I know! I couldn't believe it, cos no one else here seems to have had a problem with it. Maybe I used too much. I kept squeezing it out, cos I couldn't tell if it was coming out, so ended up using about 2 thirds of it.

I feel like I've messed up this month, cos that was our first BD on my fertile days this month. We're doing it tonight, but I got a positive test yesterday at about 5pm, so if I ovulated this morning, it will be too late by the time we do it at about 8pm, won't it. Cos the egg only lives for 12 hours and then it takes the sperm 6 hours to swim up to the egg. And I feel like all the swimmers came out with the PreSeed when I stood up, then I might have washed the rest away in the shower. Mind you, a bit more run out before I went to bed, so maybe there was still a few left in there, lol.

Plus my chart looks weird compared to last months.

Thanks, I'll try that. Is there anything else to try?

i dont think you'll have washed them all away, i'm sure they get in pretty sharpish, otherwise we'd use standing up and washing as a contraceptive

Sorry I don't know about anything else apart from drinking lots of water

Hopefully the honey will do the trick then if the water's not helping
