Got this book yesterday from amazon! Amazing insight!!

Sounds lovely! I got 'What to Expect When You're Expecting', which I opened once and hated with a passion. Very condescending. I'm only pregnant, not stupid, thank you! lol

That's the book I have!! Awesome, isn't it!!
I just love waking up every day and finding out how bubs is doing - makes it like Christmas every morning lol!
It sets out the trimesters differently to on here, but I stick to it because it's written by an obstetrician :)
I get a bit of debate over it on here, but I'm sticking to my guns!

Lol i've got that one. This one though has pictures of babies everyday of pregnancy? I've learnt loads already! X

I've seen it in the store and considered buying it! But I haven't bought anything yet... I'll just buy too many if I start without doing my re-search! But I might end up buying this one! I want a really thorough book, otherwise I feel I might as well have none because you can get so much information online anyway... (I have however bought 3 baby knit books, 1 baby crochet books and one baby quilt book :p)

I got this book. I really like it. I have two minor complaints, I think some of the text is printed a bit too faint. I like to read it in bed and sometimes when we're on the side light it gets a bit tricky to read. I've got pretty good eyesight, I'd hate to think was other with bad eyesight go through. Also I think because they have to fill a page a day they repeat the topics a bit too often.

However for getting your head round how your baby is developing and whats happening in your body on a day to day basis. I think that this helps in Tri1 where you (and I mean me here) rock from feeling awful, to feeling ok and back to awful again. Plus I keep thinking its not really real and this books sort of helped me get my head round it a bit more.

I also bought the The Pregnancy Bible which I also liked. Not too floweryt and sentimental if you like. Although me and DH did laugh a lot at the *ahem* intimacy section. She looked bored in most of the pics.

Bizarrely a book I really like was the Haynes Baby Manual. DH bought it for me as a joke but its filled with reallly down to earth practical advice.

I've just perchursed this book off eBay!!! Can't wait for it to come! X

Thanks! Sounds like a great book! I just ordered the Canadian version :)

It's a fab book. Honestly can't recommend it enough.
I got it from amazon with next day delivery for £14.85 instead of £25 xx

i also have it...bought it last time and got it back out the cupboard last weekend ;) xx

You have to read it at a certain angle, mind, or it squishes bump. Massive tome that it is.

I was looking at that book in WHSmith the other day and decided, maybe when I know its for real, as in I have a scan then I may purchase it. Although I did do 2 Pregnancy tests and both positive,
