Love this thread - such a great idea Olive.

I am Hannah, 27, and live in Kent with my Hubby and our gorgeous 9 week old Chloe. Had quite a traumatic birth and at the moment have said no more. Much to hubbies disgust!!! I do find it all harder than you could imagine but its all worth it when they smile and giggle.

Worked as a PA in Investement Bank and have a year planned off. Not sure what will do about returning as couldn't deal with the commute to london now with lo. Never thought i would say it but would love to be able to stay at home with Chloe x

Lovely idea

Im Becci, im 29 years old, OH is 22, we welcomed our first child Sofia on her due date (!!) at 17.17pm on the 17th april lol, i breastfed for 9 days and unfortunately am unable to carry on, was getting depressed and baby was feeling it, am battling massive feelings of failure atm but my beautiful girl seems to be happier and more satisfied so I am trying not to bet myself up about it, after all she had the best bit. Am still not really feeling myself and we are still getting to know her.

I work as a holiday sales manager for park resorts and am taking my 9 months off :)

xxxx

ooh becci thats such a stressful job, i used to work for park resorts as the assistant complex manager, started on the bar then worked up but it all ended badly, very stressful jobs on parks but i did love mine for the first 2 yrs

Lovely idea :)

I'm Rachael, 24 from the West Midlands. I've been with my OH Steve for 2 years but have known each other for 10 years from school. We now have a beautiful daughter Phoebe who's nearly 5 months and is teething atm :( poor little thing. We currently live in a 2 bed rented house but were looking to move a bit later in the year.
My OH works full time at the NEC in Birmingham he helps set up events like lighting and internet access etc. Its pretty cool cos he meets a few celebs and gets us cheap tickets :D. I work part time at a mobile phone shop, I'm due back in July but really don't want to go back :(.
Ooh we also have a cat called Claude, he's very mischievous! When I get any spare time I enjoy fashion, drawing and going out with friends xx

Brilliant idea Olive.

I'm Rachael and I'm 25 (26 in July). Married to Mark. It'll be our first wedding anniversary on May the 14th. I got diagnosed with pcos in nov 2010. Started metformin in jan 2011. Started actively ttc in may 2011 and fell straight away. I feel so lucky! I found out I was pregnant on the last day of our honeymoon so was a lovely ending. Suspectic ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks. Suspected early labour at 31 weeks but was false alarm thankfully. Then on jan 20th my boy Joshua was born. 8lb and 6hrs from start of contractions to birth 5 days before due date.

I currently have a job as an admin assistant for an online advertising agency. I love reptiles and geocaching. I'm a bit of a nerd lol.

xx

Checked out geocaching earlier today. Oh my goodness it's so addictive, definitely a fan :)

What a fantastic thread - thanks Olive x

I'm Carol and I'm 41 married to my wonderful OH Simon (46) for nearly 23 years!!! We live in a rural Hamlet in South Norfolk.

On 18th January our first LO Romilly was born via Planned C-section weighing 10lb 1oz. My birth experience was wonderful, so relaxed loved it!!

I have Lupus SLE which can be fairly debilitating sometimes and was the reason for leaving having a baby so late. The medication was on for so many years to control the Lupus was not compatible with succesful pregnancy. When a new medication was available that was ok to get pregnant on we started to plan!

We share our lives with lots of animals!!

We currently have 4 Alaskan Malamutes, 3 Border COllies, 1 Canadian Eskimo Dog, 2 Siamese cats, a black moggy and several chooks and a cockerel!!

We race the Malamutes in harness, show them and occassionally breed a litter. All the dogs do obedience, agility, flyball and Heelwork to Music (doggy dancing!!) Our racing team is one of the top ones in the country and this is our passion! If anyone wants a peak at the mutts and moggies our website is www.casiat.com

I am a fully qualified Dog Trainer and up to LO arriving ran my own training classes.

Away from dogs and the baby I love card making and scrapbooking, cooking/baking, reading and gardening. OH is a mad Triathlete, Cycling time triliast and does Cani-cross (running with dogs!!).

I work p/t in the local police forces Dog Section, running the officer and OH is a Sgt on the Traffic dept just down the corridor from my office!! Already dreading going back in October :(

So that's a 'little' about me!!!

So_hopeful81 I remember seeing your posts in tri 2. Glad to hear Ella arrived safely  xx

Becciboo26 17th at 17:17 couldn't have timed that better! Lol. I'm with SG. In no way are you a failure. X

Cazza just checked out your site. Cute pets. Sounds like such a cool job.

Im Becky and im 22, I live with my Husband Terry and Little girl 13 weeks Alice. She was born 20th January 2012 after a very fast labour with little pain (gas and air is a godsend). She weighed 8.15 and was born at 5.55.
Im a Plumber and Gas engineer but plan on a change of carrer once i have got Alice into school and maybe had another
I dont think mums should be judged on how they feed there baby.
I want to be a surrogate one day :)

Redhead I'd love to be a surrogate too. Haven't discussed it with Oh yet but thought I'd wait after my labour and see how it goes. I survived that's the main thing. I want 4 Kids of my own so would love to give someone The opportunity I had Of becoming a mummy If they can't. If I change my mind or whatever I would love to foster xxx

Sorry redbear. Stupid phone and predictive text Lol never getting a HTC again ever Lol xxx

I'd love to surrogate to. I found pregnancy really easy, plus it actually helped my arthritis. I want at least one more, so will prob wait and see if it's as good next time round, and then mention it to DH. He knows I wanna foster, a friend of mine ended up in a special needs boarding school cos they couldn't find foster parents for her ( and she was lovely) - but his job might make that difficult.

Xxx

I would love to surrogate but I know I'd become to attached and never be able to give the baby back :( my aunts having trouble conceiving and looking into IVF etc and I am considering offering to donate my eggs to her.

wow hannah i love the name laylah, so cute

i also adore that cover sarah, its on my playlist for Alyssa's bedtime lol, along with evanescence and odd things like 3 little pigs by green jelly.

Olya is a lovely name, i bet ppl make bad jokes about mail order brides to you hun lol, its lovely to see ppl that love each other so much that they would move so far just to be together, thats proper romantic :)

a meet would be great, there are tonnes of campsites near me, some even do the £10 sun holidays thing i think

Thank you very much :D xxx

I would be the same I was considering doing it for a friend shed be a fab mum but can conceieve but loses them...she found out she was having twins did all the nursery and everything and then lost them late on, had to give birth to them still :( but i know ita a massive decision and I'd see it as my child. But donating eggs is such a lovely idea :)

Anyway, I disappeared from this section for a while but will be rwturning :)

I'm Kirsty, live in a 2 bed terrace round the corner from my mum, and my auntie, and my grandad (we don't fly far from the nest) with my boyfriend of almost 4 years, Rick. He is a huuuuge pain in the bum moat of the time and you will often see me complain about him! We started going out in June 2008 because he wouldn't stop asking and I eventually started to think he wasnt that bad after all, and he was going to uni in sept anyway so I'd be shot of him then lol.

And nearly 4 yrs later we live together, have a scrumptious little man Charlie Bear, he's 7 months, and we have another little bean on the way! Think I'm due in December, haven't been to see the midwife yet so don't know my exact date, but safe to say I am shiiiiiiting it! My labour was alright with Charlie, pushed him out in 5 pushes as the midwife threated to cut me lmao, but how I will entertain 2 children is beyond me, hopefully theyll get on and be mischievous together and drive me mad :D x

Its the only thing on my 'bucket list' and OH knows, i hated pregnancy but apart from spd and sickness i was perfectly healthy (fine blood pressure etc) and a really easy pain free labour. I didnt get attached to Alice as soon as she was born it took me a few days to kick in so i think i could give a baby away, plus what an amazing gift. Im going to have my own babies first so it will be a while yet but i have told DH its what i want to do, we should start a group if we all do start becoming surrogates lol xx

When i say give away i sound like a bad mum i mean give someone there baby lol x

That's lovely you all want to bf surigates, i don't think i could do it unless it was maybe my sister. Think im too old to donate eggs. I looked into breast milk donation but got turned down as we live too far from the nearest bank which is a shame.
