We're about 25 miles away but quite often take a day trip there because the roads are so scenic :)

We've never been up that way, hoping the weathers a bit nicer, don't fancy staying in a caravan in this! x

My name is Danni, I'm 33 (will be 34 in July) and have two beautiful boys - Lennon who is 6 years old and Jax who is 6 months old. I am already back at work (started Tuesday 17th April) and it's actually not too bad but missing not spending my days with Jax. I work in the sales dept of an electronic manufacturing subcontractor and have been here since I left school 17 years ago!! OMG!! I have been married to my dh, JJ, for 8 years and we have been together for 14 years. We live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands which is lovely but very expensive so absolutely no chance of me even giving up work.

Awww bless you, I'll cross my fingers for some nice whether, while you're up this way. Have you planned on going anywhere in particular?

I am Leanne and I am 34 nearly 35!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH. I live on the South coast of england in a little town called Eastbourne. I have 2 boys Dylan who is 14 and AJ 6 weeks today born by emergency c-section. I live with my OH JAson and we have only been together 2 years but known each other since we were 11 when we met at secondary school. What a sad pair. lol. Jason has 2 girls by a previous relationship by a cow who only lets him see the girls every school hol and has banned me Dylan and AJ from seeing the girls!!! They live in Southend, Essex and he has to travel up there to see them (not cheap!!!)

I moan about him and he is definitely not perfect in any way as some of you know. But I do love him and he is the love of my life. Shame it took us this long to realise. lol

I have a form of arthritis known as Psoriatic arthritis which is linked with psoriasis. I have a baby brother whos 27!! lol. He has 3 boys one of 6 who has autism and one of 2 and one of 3 months so he has his hands full. lol

I was working before ill health in pregnancy forced me to stop as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school. I specialised in speech and language problems and worked with children with aspergers and autism. I know how to sign and do makaton and loved my job completely. I also have a degree in enviromental science which I did through open university when my son was born. By the time he started school I had my degree!!!

I have struggled through this pregnancy with my arthritis, SPD etc etc and the traumatic birth, plus AJs reflux problems so he will be our last. I am not physically well enough to have anymore children and have to admit I feel a little old now. lol

I'm Jo, 34 and my little monster Albert was born on 2/4/12 by emergency c-section. Have been with my OH for 14 years and were ttc for 10 years. I work as a carer out in the community but also am a qualified Egyptologist and I assist my dad who's a professor in ancient history with his research. History is my total passion and has been since I was 5 and first went to the British Museum.

I regularly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but omg I love my life :D, it's never boring!!!!

Great idea :) I'm Hannah, I'm 24 an live in the south east of England by the sea!!!! I had my son Theo 4 weeks ago this Sunday (April fools baby!) and I am breastfeeding! He was a chunky 9lbs 9oz and still isn't back up to his birthweight yet which is disheartening me a lot, but I am still persevering with the BF as he Is a happy content baby and I figure if he wasn't getting enough milk he'd be screaming the house down!

I qualified as a midwife in September and I absolutely love it! I am off until next January which is good, because I had such a traumatic birth the thought of ever being in a hospital again scares the life out of me right now!

We should so meet up not being far from each other I think you are the only one close!! lol. Do you ever come to eastbourne for the airbourne event or anything???

I work as a mental health nurse and off back to work in nov full time.

Hi I'm Emily

I have not posted for a while as been busy with lo etc but would be great to get to know you all. My little boy Charlie was born on 22 January and is nearly 14 weeks old ( scarey how time flies). I had an easy labour and birth and up to now he is generally a good baby so I guess I am lucky.

I live in Yorkshire with my other half and 2 lhasa apso dogs who are mental. I have a horse and love riding although it's hard to find the time at the minute to do so.

I work in hr which I love (although I love being a mummy more) and am planning on taking a full year off and then hopefully going back part time although not sure work will have me back part time. If not am gonna look for something else as really don't want to leave Charlie 5 days a week. Xx

I used to be in Eastbourne all the time as I studied there at the Brighton uni campus but haven't been over your way for a while! We should def meet up though hun, would be lovely to have a coffee and a batter :) once I am driving again I will organise a day that's good for both of us

Hi I'm Dani :) I'm 22 and my little lady Gracie is 13weeks tomorrow. I live in Holyhead, Anglesey with my OH Liam 26 and his parents till we find our own place, which will be very soon fx! I had Gracie on the 28th Jan after being induced on the 27th at midday, was 13 days over. Labour was very hectic and scary, emergency c-section was threatened due to not dilating properly and my cervix being too low, ended up having to have an epi just so they could try to raise it as it was excruciating, also there was meconium in my waters and Gracie was showing signs of distress, but thankfully they were and I dilated enough just in time to go naturally (they were already prepping the theatre for a c-section) was pushing for half an hour in total and Gracie came out screaming at 9:57pm :D I'm a sahm, I never found my calling in life until now, I absolutely love being a mum! <3 I'm a rocker at heart, love music and also a massive scifi geek! I love Doctor Who! And have a huge crush on David Tennant lol! xx

oh and Daniti if you read this i think we have a common aquaintance in a girl called heather who lives in wrexham. shes with one of the impaled existance guys, drummer i think. i remember her saying one of her friends was pregnant at the battle of the bands for bloodstock last year. so if it is you then i think we live fairly local to each other and if you ever want to hang out or go for a cuppa or just visit then you only have to let me know and we can arrange it. i have a bit of a problem initiating things like hang outs or meet ups as im a bit frightened of intruding on others lives or making a nuisance of myself. i always feel like im being a pest or bothering ppl lol

I know Heather! Yer she is, Nathan. My partner is the guitarist in Inferno, don't know if you've ever seen them but them and IE have done a few gigs together. It most probably was me she was on about :) And thanks, really appreciate the offer! I'm the same as you, was going to mention we had a few mutuals but chickened out as I didn't want to just impose myself lol. I don't drive so would have to get the train down, not really up for that as of yet but will definitely get in touch when Gracie is a little bigger if you like? xx

I'm Carly, 26 from gillingham in Kent. Married to my DH for nearly 5 years and been together for 7. Have a gorgeous little boy called Henry who was born 15 days after his due date via emergency c-section as he was too big to be born naturally (he was 9lb 5oz and 58cm an I'm only a shortie at 5 ft 2). It wasn't the 4 days before my section weren't the best with irregular but very painful contractions, 3 failed attempts at an epidural and Henry not engaging therefore only getting to 4cm! The actual section itself was a breeze, and my recovery has been very easy (I know I'm very lucky about that!). Wouldn't hesitate to have an elective next time (and there will be a next time!). It took us 2 and a half years to conceive has I have fertility problems and was told I would never conceive naturally, but I did so two fingers to the doctors! Lol! Had a scan to confirm Henry was in my womb and not in a tube the day we were due to be referred for IVF :)

I work for the children and family courts and have done for 7 and a half years. Have to go back in december tho and not looking forward to being away from my baby :(

Hello,
I'm Cat, mummy to Dylan who is 17 weeks. I went into labour on my due date and he arrived the day after. D managed to tie a knot in his cord so had quite a traumatic experience and was all ready for an emergency c section but ended up with failed ventouse, then forceps with episiotomy. I bf for 8weeks when I was given my 3rd lot of antibiotics which really upset LO so we changed to ff.
I've been with my OH for 9 years and we've been married for nearly 3.
I work as a radiographer and I'm hoping to go back part time in september but if I can't will probably be a sahm.

Interesting thread.

I'm Joy, I'm 28 and I live with my lovely OH in Romford, I have Lewis who's 12 weeks and Charlie who's nearly 10. Both were born by c-section. I'm EBF even though I FF my oldest. I'd never go back now though.

Been going through some hard times lately, drifted away from all of my friends since getting pregnant as they just want to go clubbing, also one or 2 were a bit racist towards my OH which I put down to jealousy. So been feeling a bit lonely lately. Also having some issues with immigration to do with OH :(

When I'm not being mummy I work as a registered nurse at the local hospital. I think I'll be going back in September when LO is 8 months old how sad. They've agreed to let me come back at 16hrs a week but to be honest I'd like to quit work and pay the maternity pay back a bit at a time it's just a matter of convincing OH.

Awww joy I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time with your friends :hugs:

Great to get to know everyone better.
I'm Verity and live with my DH Scott and our 10 week old boy, Ariel. I know some of you lovely ladies helped me get through my 1st tri when I was so scared after two losses and even more helped me through the long wait of tri 3!

I'm an anthropologist and both lecture and research however will probably be a stay at home mum so looking to just continue my research and publish! I have a big family who i'm close too but don't find it the easiest to make friends as I can be a little antisocial, so I really have loved having all your support and advice.

wow im finding this thread so interesting!!

So im Jenna, 24 from Hertfordshire and me and my OH (22) have a beautiful little boy Max, born by elective section on 28-3-12. After a very traumatic pregnancy i feel extremely blessed to have such a strong healthy boy.

im finding motherhood alot harder then i expected but am starting to get the hang of it :D ive massively surprised myself, and do feel proud to have dealt with the hardships of my pregnancy.

ive got a degree in criminology and forensic investigation but managed to fall into support work for naughty school kids, teenage parents and then alcoholics/drug addicts/those with mental health issues and the ex-homeless- possibly the most eye-opening job there is!

im happy for anyone to PM me or add me facebook and i love to offer my help and advice :)

xxxxxx

I love this thread :yay: I don't really know the new mummies on here! Trying to make more of an effort to pop my head in tho!

I'm Alice, 23, mummy to K and E who are a year and 17 days apart! Was a single mummy for 2 years ish, but now live with my amazing OH! Can't think what else to say! Erm, labours; k was born 9 days late after a 23 hour labour weighing 9lb12:faint: I'm only 5'1! E was born in a superspeedy labour of 3 mins on my parents loo and was 8lb3!

They're now 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 and right bloody hard work
