getting the gender wrong?

I know its silly, but Iv splashed out on EVERYTHING pink.
This will be my last baby for a long time so I wanted to go all out and just go for it.
I just keep panaking that she got the sex wrong?
But i guess they wouldnt say 'I think your having a girl' if there not 99% sure would they?
Has anyone ever got told a different sex to what there having, just wondered how commen it is?
I have a 4d scan next Thursday so will ask them to comfirm it then, but im a tad stuffed if she turns into a boy, not before id mind but because hes be a very girly boy until I have the money to go out and buy all blue things lmao

This is what happened to me, NHS scan said we think it's a girl, 80% sure. Hmmmm not quite enough for me!! 4d scan confirmed it as her legs were all over the place!! Lol x

An old school friend was told she was havin a boy and had a girl but that was nearly 12 years ago and I think scanning has improved since then.
I keep thinkin the same,even tho I saw his bits and everythin. I've got another scan in a fortnight so I'm gonna ask them to check it's a boy,but then itl b panic stations if they tell me it's a girl lol xx

I was told " well I ant see any boys bits" so I suppose it's a girl. I still refer to her as the baby at times as I don't quite believe it. They are usually pretty accurate with the boys, but it is harder to confirm whether it is a girl or not as the bits and pieces
may be hiding.

I think unless you have a 4d scan, or wait for birth it's never 100%.

I have only allowed myself to buy 3 girl outfits, the rest is neutral. But it is my first so I want neutral stuff anyway in case we have another.

If our sonographers were right, we will both be having girls with the same first name! I thought I had picked a bit of an unusual name, then I saw that you had picked the same name! What made you pick
it? I liked it ever since I heard the name on nanny McPhee a few years ago!x

yea i think boys are definately easier to tell, i could tell my baby was a boy before they confirmed it.

Same Ippa I just new Joe was a boy but this time my gut is telling me its a girl
and shotingstar22, same I got it of nannymcphee lol its just so pretty and classic, it jst sounds really naturally lovely if that makes any sence. Even though Im now debating the name Ruby as well lol

Ahhh Ruby is a lovely name. I like long names that are different, but a more common short name.

I debated on Genevieve for awhile- again this used a shirtened name
of evie that I like.

Antonia was an early one too.

I think much harder to be sure on girls, when I was told my last (8.5 yrs ago) was a girl after two boys, I didn't trust it at all and got like one or two items in pink for the hosp. Ended up convincing myself I was having a boy called Devon just incase ! (helping me not feeling finished till I had him really!)

Course was all ok and I had a girly, they were correct, but as you can miss seeing the willy, you worry don't you. Sure it will be fine, they should be good with scanning nowadays, suppose you get the odd mistake tho, but must be rare

I was wondering the same, the peace of mind i have is that i saw it and she was explaining what you see if its a girl and stuff, and i understood why she thought it was a girl. there was absolutely nothing there whatsoever and they scan from so many different angles so it gave me confidence and i now have lots of pink so am skrewed if its really a boy lmao!! x

A girl who I know from when I used to go to school, she is pregnant and at abour 14 weeks she got told she was having a girl, bought everything pink and had name etc and then went for her 20 week scan and it was a boy! Im not buying anything until couple of months before its born!

im the same!! i even had a dream the other night where i had the baby and 'she' was actually born a 'he' - freaked me right out!!!

The only reason i freaked is because since finding out im having a girl at my 20 week scan, i couldnt help but go abit shopping mad and have brought so much girly stuff!! Ekkk, i hope they got it right!!?!? xxx

Pretty sure he is a boy tho, even I could tell on the scan!

at my 20 weeks scan she said "well there is def something between the legs" She didnt say ITS A BOY
but i saw it too so im pretty sure. must say tho we got a backup name just incase and she would just have to be dressed in blueish clothes for a while..
