Gestational age vs Fetal age

Hiya.
Just a quick question as I'm genuinely confused around dates.
I had an early scan which said I was 6 weeks 3 days and they found a heartbeat and fetal pole.
Now do i add 2 weeks onto the 6 weeks 3 days to make it gestational age? Not sure whether scans go by conception or lmp?

The 6 weeks 3 days is the age of your pregnancy.

The age of the fetus will be roughly 2 weeks less than that. So you likely conceived 4 weeks 3 days ago. What they have quoted to you will coincide with the first day of your lass period roughly.

I wouldn't add anything to their dates.
