Yep. When I first looked I thought it was unrecognisable! I absolutely panicked but I can assure you it does resume normal service.
I still have some numbness down there but overall it's ok xx

That's good to know as that's what I had. It's been 10 days since LO arrived - and I really want the soreness gone!!! At least I know around how long to expect.

Oh and I'm avoiding looking at least until I'm feeling better lol.

I had a ventouse, foreceps and an episiotomy too. Mine still aches like mad and I swear the Registrar has seen me a new 'bit' the Mw is going to check it out on Friday (lucky lady). Pleased to hear that it should be ok in a couple of weeks though xx

No it was because he was trying to come out face first and got stuck in the birth canal. Also his heart rate decelerated and then accelerated after each contraction so he was in distress. I only just missed an emergency c section xx

I had forceps and episiotomy, I started feeling much better after 3 weeks. Though piles hurt far more than stitches!

I had forcep delivery with an episiotomy & about 4 weeks before i felt better agree with ISH 100% piles are the worst they hurt much more than the stitches, ouch!

Tapatalking!

I had an episiotomy, failed ventouse and forceps delivery with my first, It was a good 3 weeks before it felt anything remotely like normal down there.

I had forceps and an episiotomy. I think it took a good few weeks before the soreness went! I used ibuprofen and those ice gel packs u can put in ur pants as well- v soothing! And echinacea to bring out the bruising! I don't think I looked for a few weeks but def all goes back to normal! Keep doing pelvic floor!! X

i found a shallow bath with salt and tea tree oil really helped in the first few days. mine still feels kinda numb round the stitches!
