First time using ovulation test, am I reading it right?

So I've used an ovulation stick for the first time - see pic, I'm reading this as a negative. So I keep doing this every day until the 2 lines look the same and then BD for GB for the next couple of days?! I am 39 and feel like I should know all this stuff!

Exactly! I started testing mine this month on day 10, and got positives on days 15 and 16. A couple of days before it was very nearly positive and a bit difficult to read

Hardly any second line showing today, all very confusing!! I'm hoping that one day this week there is an all singing and dancing second line so that there is no doubt!

Hi Nikki 39,

what cd did you start testing and what time of day? Is there any chance you could have missed the surge? It can be quite confusing. I would keep testing and see what happens over the rest of the month, it is sometimes worth doing an expensive smiley face opk when you are uncertain and first starting out with OPKs as some of them are a bit rubbish... my ones only get dark enough on the left of the marker when I ovulate so was really confused when I first started out.
