First IVF Consultation

Hi Ladies, I've not been on here for a couple of weeks. Hope everyone is ok?!

We have our first IVF Appointment tomorrow. 11.30am for my scan and 12pm for our consultation and I'm a nervous wreck!!! Have filled out most of the forms which we were given but told not to sign them yet.

I am so scared. I'm not totally sure what of, just a combination of things I suppose. I know I'm afraid of taking the drugs incase they make me depressed (I am a worrier lol)

I'm just not sure what to expect really. Pinning so much hope on this!!

Would be good to know I'm not the only one feeling like this xx

Totally normal to feel like that! I'm a bad worrier! I convinced myself I had no chance and it worked. My stress levels and worry levels were through the roof and it didn't effect it! wishing you lots of luck! It's not as scary as it seems though!! All the tests, injections, collections and transfer is easier than you think! Xx

Thanks girls. Appointment was ok, we're still none the wiser as to when we'll start though, as they have to send the info to Oxford Fertility Unit, as they'll be the ones controlling it. Holly House is just my satellite centre so that we don't have to keep travelling to Oxford. So just waiting for a call from Oxford now with a date to start down reg. Not looking good for starting this cycle as on day 5 now.... Also consultant said she wouldn't advise air travel in the 2WW/after transfer (but she said once have + test though ok??!!) because of air pressure..... And we're going to Thailand on 20th Dec for 2 weeks, so will have a long flight.

They also found an extra fibroid (so have 2), signs of endo and scare tissue/fluid around my right ovary. Why that wasn't all picked up with all the tests I had at the hospital I don't know!! She was surprised I hadn't had any operations or treatment!

I also only have a reserve of 4 or 5 follicles? on my left ovary. And hardly any at all on my right. She said this is quite normal for my age so I have a very low risk of OHSS. Not sure if I've written all that down correctly. I'm sure you ladies will know what I'm talking about. X
