First appointment

Referred myself to the midwife today...they said she will be intouch in a few days.
What happens on the first appointment...i asked if she came to your house and they said no

loads of paperwork and she will book you for blood tests. really quite boring but nice that it is all official xx

I've got my first appointment at the docs today.. will let you know what happens
I seem to remember it is pretty boring, lol.. but I don't know if anything will be different this time coz of mc?
Only an hour to go til I have to leave for docs... ought to get dressed really.. sat here in pjs still after spending all morning unpacking a MASSIVE Avon order hehehe xxx

they came to my house for my booking in but areas will differ tbf and dnt worrie its mainly justpapper work but if the other hlfs not going to be there make sure u ask him if theres any fam history off illness or mc xx

She just worked out my due date, gave me my pregnancy book and asked me to fill it out and hand it back to her the following week with a urine sample. Also did my BP and height. 2nd Appt the week after she took the book back and took my bloods, now just have to wait for a scan date for next month (dating scan) x

I think they might monitor you more closely after what happened last time, and of course, just for support, to talk through any concerns. if they dont offer extra appointments, ask why.

With regards to scan date, does the midwife not just send off a letter then it takes a few weeks for the date to come through thats what they do where i live but could be different

probably wont affect you, they'll just treat you as normal...you have no history of m/c or still birth that you carried?

mc 4 month ago...doctor said mmc, i think it was a chemical as my period came as normal but got the positive tests for 3 week after? xxx

Mine went over every tiny detail of my medical history, as well as my family's and my OH's. I was weighed, BP taken and height measured, had blood tests then and there and had to do a urine sample.

If you have anything likely to affect your pregnancy they just keep a better eye on you. Nothing to worry about
