Got your attention ladies

Basically, we have to get baby Boobin's passport done. We have a friend who is a firefighter. Would he be able to verify the passport photo?

I'm not paying £1.50 a minute to phone their helpline ffs!!

I cant see why not but if not you can always ask a doctor or health visitor etc.

Yeah and they charge the earth as well don't they

I'm sounding like a right cheapskate now pmsl :rotfl:

i no its someone in "authority" im not sure a fire fighter would be able to TBH

it has to be someone with a 'proffesion' i think, my mother in law has a law degree and she did my sons but she has no authority (she may think she does  ).
A doctor may charge but i didnt think a health visitor would (mean cow) i know a vicar or minister can do it and if they charge they need a slap.

I found this on the website

It says that a fire service official can sign it. That's a fire fighter, isn't it?
Health visitor isn't on the list.
I can't see doctor either  Maybe they were removed to stop patients asking doctors who don't know what they look like to sign.

Aww - thankyou ladies

It's the "official" part that stumps me. Is an ordinary firefighter still classed as "official"

I guess if he i officially a firefighter then it would count

Yes, he can sign it.... we have had ours done by firemen before!
