Hey everyone..

I'm finally saying hello after browsing this forum for months!! :)

My partner and I have been ttc for three years, I have very irregular periods which makes it very hard to detect ovulation, i have had all the blood tests under the sun and a scan for PCOS whoch came back normal. My partner is a diabetic (although he already has a daughter and his reuslts have also come back clear)

My main issue is getting my GP to take me seriousley, everytime i speak to them, all i seem to get is dont worry it will happen.. well three years of dont worry it will happen and my heart is practically breaking.. i don t think it helps that im approaching the big 30!! haha

Im glad these forums exist as it really does show us we are not alone, and im greatful for all the posts with peoples experiences.

I think my oh wants to kill me cos right now the only thing that makes me feel better is booking holidays :)

Look forward to getting to know you all :) xx

Welcome to LTTTC gemsmee!

So sorry to hear about your LTTTC. We have been trying almost 2 years and I can't imagine how I may be feeling in another 12months time!!
On a positive note though, you and oh tests are coming back normal, which does lead to believe that it will happen for you eventually. I am sure millions ofpeople say this to you but if you de stress and relax, I bet it will happen in no time!!
All of my friends who were ltttc, conceived within months of 'giving up' and having a break from baby making......!!!!

We are a chatty and supportive bunch on here hun. I can honestly say that it has helped me immensely lately....!!

I have also learnt sooooo much as oh and I are still waiting for 1st apt in fertility clinic and feel very much in the dark re fertility information, analysis of results, treatments etc!!

Good luck
Em xxx

Hiya Gem :)

Have you tried OPKs? They could make the world of difference to someone with irregular cycles ;)

To be honest i'm a bit shocked that after three years you have not been referred to a specialist - three years is a long time!

There is such a thing as unexplained fertility by where people simply are not getting pregnant and you are considered infertile byt he Nhs if you have been ttc for 1 year without success and although they have done the basic tests you really should have been referred just for your lack of a baby after such a long time.

There is a really nice bunch of ladies in the ltttc section so hopefully they'll have loads of advice for you xx

Helloooo , welcome here i'm new too . 3 years is an awfully long time and you should push for a referral , my friend just got passed from pillar to post without gettin anywhere and in the end pulled off loads of research off the internet , printed it off and confronted her gp and demanded an appointment with a specialist , they booked her in straight away , her general tests were all clear!

Turns out she's pregnant now she caught just as she was meant to go to her appointment .

She told the doctor she could no longer take tha 'it will happen' and 'its normal' because it isn't!!!

So i'm behind you :) and i hope your not here for very long :dust:
