Managed to go to toilet, have a wash, got dressed and put hover around and tidy living room x whew im now shattered x surprising how lil energy you have x

Vicky, have you got 'The Wonder Weeks' app? That's good to describe significant growth spurts. But as Nicky said, the first one is around 8-10 days. That's when their heads get bigger too! My baby's head grew from 36.5cm to 38cm in 2 days!

Nicky you're doing fab. If you weren't paranoid then you wouldn't be normal. We're all paranoid!

I need to go back out but i just can't be bothered now! Need to have a tidy up too. Just want to goto bed, oh and we have to go round the in laws this eve. Urgh. I hate it guarantee I will leave there wound up!

Maybe I will just find am excuse to not stay for tea! X

I've given him a bath (which he loved), tried skin to skin (which he hated) and dressed him, and he has been sick again, over an hour after his feed!
He is laid in the bed just looking round now like butter wouldn't melt after screaming the place down, where as I'm exhausted!
I'm sure he has tummy ache, and he hasn't pood for 36 hours (not like him, plus he seems to be "pushing" like he needs to go)!!! I hate having an unhappy baby!
Need to ring and book his 6 week check up! Xx

He's 6lb 2oz!!!! HV really pleased with us xx had to fight back the tears and she gave loads reassurance that hes thriving and doing really well xx
She advised to try colief its very expensive but said if it works he can have it on prescription x

Maddie, I just want to go to bed too! She's due a food anytime now but I might try and get a nap in. I hate having plans in the evening these days., especially when it's people you don't want to see.

Urghhh Alex has been on my boob since 9 o clock this morning constantly. He hasn't slept at all and won't settle anywhere i am soooo tired. Praying he has a better night tonight.

We have our appointment next Tuesday at 11:10, they will see us both together!!!
My wound is a mess again, it's painful, itchy and red, guess its still full of thrush..... Not happy!!!

Numnut is whinging cos I've arranged to go to his mums for tea.... He says he will have to come home before going to work, don't see why he can't just take his work stuff with us and go straight from there! I give up! X

I have my check up on Thursday will let you all know how it goes. Ive got a few "concerns" eek hope everything is ok. My appt is with a nurse. Here they don't do babies injections till 8 weeks, phew! I don't wanna take her I've had quite a good day today fingers crossed it stays this way xxx

When do newborns have their first growth spurt?

Not sure but I think Harry's having one now. Jack never had any spurts he just grew very very slowly so this is all new to me! lol

Harry's been sleeping a lot during the day since yesterday and me & Steve both made comments about him looking fuller in the face yesterday. He also slept great last night as usual instead of messing about after too much sleep in the day. That's the only reason I think he's having a spurt? I hope he is anyway I want to put all of the 0-3mth clothes he has on him lol x

I have new clothes!! Proper women's clothes!!! Jeans with a zip and button instead of elastic!!! And the best bit ........ i'm still the same size I was 21 months ago before getting pregnant with Jack!!!! Well chuffed I want to lose a stone and a half maybe 2 if I can manage it but mostly tone up! x

I wish Alex slept through this growth spurt he hasn't slept at all today just feed feed feed!! I had no idea sitting doing nothing could be so tiring.

Yay for normal clothes i am finally getting back into my old bits as well, have lost most of my baby weight and all my swelling has gone so i now have ankles again lol.

He is being weighed tomorrow so will be interesting to see if he has lost or gained weight and... The rate he is going today i will be shocked if he has lost anything!!
