~February & March Mummies and Babies~

I still haven't got my appetite back - struggle to eat a full tea! And I'm not snacking during the day like I used too!

We took jas for a walk to the shop earlier and I had to leave Chris halfway and come home cos she was screaming for a feed - really stressed me out!!

Haha I did question myself when you said 24 hours so I wanted to double check but when I expressed I stored it at the back of the fridge and warmed it as he wanted it. If you can get up a bit of a stock it's always great :) i also have thermal bottle things to keep it cold so I could take it out with me and warm it as and when or give it at normal temp as it will gradually get warmer the longer you leave it. They are by tommee tipee and about 8 quid for two :-) avent do them too I believe and it keeps them hot or cold :-) I know not all mum's are comfortable with bf in public and if baby will take a bottle too its great as he isn't missing out on all the goodness of ala'boob. :-)

Glad I made your day babybee. It's what I'm here for! :-) xx

Lol I think I was getting mixed up with formula!
Ooo that's a good idea, where can you get them? In the usual Tesco/Asda? Will definitely invest in a few.
I have one of those apron things to cover me in public though I've only used it when we've had guests round.

Ah upto 5 days, I just told Adam that and he was very very pleased too! :)

Xxx

i got mine from an asda living maybe look online? if im going into town i always use mine for alfies bottles i can always warm them before we go then they are there to use straight away, no messing around with heating or finding somewhere to do so!

i know one of my friends is alway worried about going out because of where she can feed her daughter :( unfortunatly she wont take a bottle though!

on the laptop on here for the first time for ages.

just changed my details and tickers from my pregnancy ones to a baby one and from pregnant to mum. i was quite sad to let my pregnancy tickers go ahah!

what a looser lol! x

Wow I am busy for a few hours and come back to loads of activity!!!
I have a grumpy baby who wants feeding every 2 hours and cuddling too, must be the day for it!!!
Re the questions I missed.....

The blood circulation in hands and feet - this is last to come in, the hospital told me the body sees those parts as 'not as important' so they don't get the supply til later!

Contraception - I'm gonna look at coil too as hormones effect my headaches and fibromyalgia and hypermobility!

Bags for milk - I have the tommee tippee ones and they are fab, asda defo have them but can get them in mothercare and babies r is

I need to get on on PC tomorrow and change my stuff too Maddie, might do that when I get to mums!!!

Oh and if you don't know ladies, asda have a clothing sale on at the moment, maybe worth a look! :-) xxx

i havnt braved any pre pregnancy jeans, still wear my maternity ones hahahaha! i cant be doing with the upset of not fitting in any of my old ones! if not im in leggings but i know deep down im not happy with the size i am, and i just feel like im a right chufffer, felt alot better when id just had him, felt pretty good and then the baby blues kicked in and i tucked into the cakes haha!

oh and contraception wise i have no idea, using condoms for now but i need to go on something. dont fancy getting uber fat which alot of them tend to do to you : (

We won't be using contraception, we used nfp before but we are going to try again for another baby straight away.

Eli did the hourly feeding the other day and night, apparently it is them preparing your milk for a growth spurt. He generally sleeps for four hours when we first go to bed, then wakes up every two hours for a feed and feeds every two hours during the day. He only feeds for ten minutes on one side but the doctor and lactation ladysaid he just has an effective suck as he is gaining weight and obviously getting the right mix of hind and fore milk.

They told me to eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. So much food, I am just not hungry enough for all of that.

Your all mad!! Haha! One is def enough for me!!

We had tears again a couple of hours ago / she wanted to feed every 20 minutes for 6 minutes at a time! And I got stressed cos Chris was just snoring away next to me!! First hard night - got stomach ache now and she's feeding again!

I'm happy sky has woken up for food now phew that means she's up to about 700ml in 24 hour period which is about what she's been taking. I think being out so much yesterday messed her up a bit!

We won't be using contraception as we are trying again

Thanks for the links to the bottle things Maddie. Am going to go to Asda at the weekend and get some.
I haven't tried on pre-pregnancy jeans either! Why go through that depressing exercise?! I soooooooo need to get on a fitness regime!

See the problem with becoming a nun is that it's like being pregnant forever- can't drink and can't eat certain foods. Otherwise it's definitely be worth a think.

Oh Tallulah I am so jealous you're ttc straight away! I'd love to do that. We pretty much did NFP for the past 7 years too and it worked until my lo was conceived last May. We're not going to ttc until Christmas, then we will be trying for sure!

I'm taking her to be weighed tomorrow. I really hope she's put on enough weight. Also I have a reaaaaallu irritating friend coming round at midday. She's one if those people that would overstay her welcome so much so I've pretense we've got a docs appointment at 2.30 and need to leave at 2. Mean I know but otherwise she'd stay for hours!

I'm so tired. Come on baby, sleep, sleep, sleeeeeep!

Xxx

Yay, go Skler!

Jealous of both you and Talulah!

Oh and Nicky, don't worry, nights are always hard. My husband is a particularly fussy sleeper. Anything wakes him and he's so unbelievably grouchy with lack of sleep. Kind of like having man flu but its man sleep deprivation.

Anyway my point is, I find night time hard as my husband is snoozing away whilst I feed baby in the dark, quietly and I get really frustrated too!!

It gets better as she gets a little older though. She feeds quicker, sleeps quicker and so do you.xxx
