~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Thanks ladies!! As proud as I am of her I do think its genetic too, I walked at around the same time but I'm most definitely not some athlete I'm actually incredibly lazy! My hubby walked at 15 months and he's an exercise freak and did an Iron Man last year. I hope she takes after him!
Babies just do as they please when they please!

Go E!!! I'm defo not ready for Harry to walk yet!!!! I had it so easy with Jack, the worst he did (and still does) is open a drawer or cupboard but he never gets anything out lol. Harry is going to keep me on my toes for sure, i left him sitting on his blanket playing this morning, went to make a cuppa, came back and he was on his belly fiddling with my charger wire!! The wire has gone!! lol x

My goodness - all these clever babies, walking and crawling!! Tess still likes being carried everywhere and I am just as guilty as she is! I don't even tend to leave her on the floor alone, I like playing with her, I think its because I don't think I have much hope of convincing OH to have another, so I want her to be my wee baby forever.

Sounds just like us!!!!! Lol xxx

Well done E xxxx

Oh she's definitely not properly walking. Just very slowly, ploddily, wobbling stomping across. She only did it once and refuses to do it again!

I have a dilemma and need some advice.

So every single Wednesday since I was 4 I've went to my Grans for dinner. It's continued through high school, full time work, even now that I'm married. My Granda died 2 years ago so my Gran lives alone now. She is completely disabled and can only really sit in her chair watching telly or playing candy crush and her ds etc. She obviously can't leave the house alone and only goes out once a week when my mum takes her shopping.

I'm pretty much the only person that goes to see her regularly, I try at least 4 times a week including dinner. She loves me coming over cause she hates eating alone.

Now the problem is Spencer. I go over about 4pm, give him his dinner there then make our dinner. She can't hold him because she's not got the strength so the whole night becomes a bit stressful with me trying to either watch him and grab him while he rolls about or soothing him cryingabecause he's strapped in to his bouncer or highchair.

Then of course by the time we've eaten and I do the dishes and pack up etc he's getting distraught because he's tired and undoubtedly will fall asleep in the car home meaning he won't go down until late.

I know this isn't problem of the century but I Honestly don't know what to do. If I stop going for dinner she'll be gutted, she's lonely enough as it is but if I keep going it's just going to get worse and worse.

What about shifting dinner to an earlier time & leaving her snacks in case she gets peckish before bed?
As for Spencer boy, what really keeps him entertained? Is it something you could bring to your nan's?

I was going to suggest lunch as well - bit of a compromise!

Only other thing would be would Spencer be happy in a baby carrier or sling/wrap? I know when I had to get something done with Emma I would carry her - might give you an extra bit of time?

Can you not prepare something and take it with you? That way spencer can have his food at the same time as you? Jasmine loves eating with us! Just a thought

Yeah i'd do what Nicky said and prepare dinner at yours during the day then warm it at your Nan's and all 3 of you eat together. Before i moved here my Grandad used to get the bus to mine about 4 times a week to come and spend time with my childminded kids (their Parents loved him) then after work we'd walk to Tesco's to buy dinner and i'd cook for us or he'd treat us to fish & chips. It's probably the only thing pre OH and babies that I looked forward to. Aww i miss my Grandad :( I see so much of him in Harry's face it's spooky!!

We are still the house of snot :( but so far all i've had to do is put my hand on his back to settle him rather than picking him up and rocking him x

Knew I could count on you lot :-)

She's very very sensitive so I'll make a few suggestions see what she thinks :-)

Hope you all had good nights, we didn't, well, I didn't anyway had really bad nightmares x

Aww poor you, i hardly ever dream, let alone nightmares! Did Spencer sleep? I had to settle Harry at 11 then I thought to myself, this is getting silly, he never opens his eyes he just thrashes about and I go and pick him up to settle him so I watched him on the monitor. I decided that i'd only go down if he opened his eyes or cried. After 10mins of thrashing about and making cooing noises he went still and the next thing i knew it was 4.45am! He was actually awake then so i bought him in with us and he nodded back off until 7.30! So now the rule is if he's not awake and not crying ..... leave him be x

I hate when that happens Clairey, they always seem too real. xx
O slept until after 8.30am but it's only because there was a big storm around here last night & he was woke a few times because of it. Oh well, I'll take it where I get it!

He went down about 10pm because he fell asleep in the car on our way back from Grans and woke up at 8! Great night!

I had a slice of cheese and some jaffa cakes before bed so I'm blaming it on that!

I also feel like a saddo because I've just recognized a forum member from here on a completely different, unrelated forum. I think I need away from here lol

My boss is calling me & I can't bring myself to answer because it means lying & I'm afraid to get caught out.
