~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Clairey, sorry you had a crap night. It doesn't seem to be working but I am hoping & praying that you & Talulahgosh have a breakthrough soon. x

I think we're all having a tough time just now. Maybe in 5-10 years they'll be sleeping...

Think we may have to take jas to the doctors on Monday. 5 days of a nasty runny bum :-( she did seem better but then it came back! It can't be teething!

Aw poor jas! Definitely think it's more than just teething but she may have a couple coming at the same time??

Poor baby :( dioralyte is good to replenish the body, and plenty of fluids too xx

It's that time of night again girls. Good luck & sleepy wishes to those that need it. :)

Thank you. We've had a week of rubbish nights, with long night wakings and early starts so I'm not very hopeful for tonight :(

This is the most restful night we've had so far. Recently he would have been up 3 times already. I'm not saying it will last all night but I'm appreciating having a hot meal instead of toast for once. :) The only thing different about today was that he had 3 x 30 min naps. It's not ideal but what can I do?! :)

Hopes - he might not be ready to drop his last nap yet - if in doubt - I go with what Tess wants!!

Just seen the John Lewis Xmas ad - they are the best!!!

Today the 3 x 30 mins was accidental. I got stuck in traffic, he fell asleep in the car at 2.40pm & slept until 3.10pm. He then went back to sleep at 4.20pm-4.50pm. That wouldn't work on a daily basis I'd imagine. I think tonight is just the product of an exhausted baby.

How did the rest of the night go, hopes? We had to mix up 2 and 3 nap days for a while, depending on how tired jack was, wake up time in the morning, how the night had gone etc., so you might find you're not properly on 2 naps for a little while. We're going through the same but from 2 naps to 1, unbelievably! Yesterday jack did 6.20 - 11.20, slept for 1hr 25, then did 12.45 - 6 awake. He slept 11.5 hours last night, which is a record! I can't do it again today though cos I had to resettle him 35 minutes into his nap and he cried in his sleep an hour after bedtime, so it obviously made him overtired, but it'll be the start of the odd 1 nap day for us.

I no longer look at my monitor for the temp, it's crap! It said 18c last night but the room was freezing. O went to bed in a long sleeved vest, sleepsuit & I put him in a 3 tog grobag. I felt him a few times during the night & he was just nice, not roasting so the monitor is obv rubbish!

LL, he slept through until just after 4am. I brought him in with me & he slept until 6:45am.
Clairey, Talulahgosh....how was your night?
Nicky, how's jas now?
Everyone else, hope your babies had a good night. xx

Last night was poo :-( been up since 6 but we're off to Jack and Jill market today :-)

The view from my living room is amazing this morning the golf course is covered in frost with a beautiful sunrise behind it :-D

Sounds gorgeous Clairey. Get a mug of coffee in your paw & enjoy it for 5 minutes. :)

Glad you had a better night, hopes. Sorry you're having a rough time again though, Clairey. Do you think Spencer could be overtired if he's only having one short nap and disrupted nights? That can cause major bedtime resistance, multiple night wakings, early starts and short naps. Just a thought?

Finally got her down at 10.30 after loads of crying. Then she was up screaming at midnight so we slept together until 4.30 when we had to be up to take my dad to the airport!

It definitely is that, I was explaining to Billy because of course everyone always says Oh a short nap... that means he'll sleep tonight! Eh no he won't!

He's having half hour nap about 4 hours after he wakes then going until about 3pm where he has another half hour occasionally. I just can't get him to nap any longer and I've tried altering how long he's going between being awake and getting put down but he's not having it.

He looks constantly exhausted! Except in the picture I'm about to post... hang on...
