*****February 2019 mummies*****

Gemsy, have a great appointment! Mine was today, baby sounds great, (s)he is kicking away and I feel him/her so much throughout the day now. Anatomy scan is a week from tomorrow!

So my husband has a work trip to France in November and I was invited to join him!! He won’t be working while we are there, he basically got invited by a client to be wined and dined, it’ll be a luxurious week and all 3 kids are staying with their grandparents. I am very sad and anxious about leaving my babies behind for a whole week, and being SO far away, but at the same time I can’t believe how excited I am. I lived in France years ago and found there with my husband has been a fantasy that has felt like an impossible dream before now. I’m actually almost as excited for the 9-hoir flight with NO KIDS as I am for the vacation itself, haha! I’m exaggerating of course, but the thought of snuggling with hubby watching shows and not worrying about keeping kids seated/quiet/amused on a plane is just luxurious.

Kholl, that sounds like a lovely trip! Enjoy yourself and don't feel guilty for having a bit of me-time!

My appointment was great :) midwife found the heartbeat straight away. My uterus is already up to my belly button, she said thats quite high for 16 weeks, but I always seem to show very early so I think its just the way my body is. When she put the doppler on, baby kicked really quite hard....it was lovely :)

Hi ladies, I'm 19 weeks today! Seriously, where has the time gone, anyone else feel like this!?

I have been feeling those first few movements the last week which is very odd, at first it only felt like a light tapping or rolling but yesterday I felt bubbles pop (definitely wasn't gas!).

Oh yeah and I've put on a stone since the beginning of the pregnancy, so now I weigh 14st, but most of that is on my boobs I think haha!

My husband has been listening in on the bump, laying his head on it and hearing all the "muffled sloshing" as he likes to put it!

Bump now is so obvious and it's a super cute bump, my line rocked up around week 16 too :-D

How is everyone doing at the moment? :-)

Sounds amazing kholl! A lovely break in a beautiful place just you and your husband. Magic!

I'm jealous of you all feeling movement! Hopefully a few more weeks for me and I can join the club. Can't wait to feel her moving!! I've decided to change her name as well. We have called the baby cupcake since the start the kids love it lol.
My new name I have for her is Lyla it's actually the first 2 letters of my name and my initials before I got married so quite fitting. I hope I don't change my mind as I've told close family and everyone loves it
Xxx

Phillipa you look amazing!

Lynsey I hope you feel that baby soon! This one seems to be particularly active. I'm getting those giant rolls already and I'm sure if I watched at this point I could see him/her on the outside.

Tomorrow I'm 20 weeks (!!!) and I have my anatomy scan! Can't believe it's already here.

It's officially (cold, gray, drizzly) Fall here and I have a cold. Ugh!! Not ready!

Ahh how exciting Kholl, half way there :)

I hope your scan goes well.

Im 19 weeks tomorrow; not really any changes for me - still feeling movement on and off. Bump is getting slightly bigger but not huge yet, still pops put more in the evening and some maternity stuff still doesn't sit right on it.

Ooh good luck with your scan tomorrow Kholl! I've got my 20 week scan on Thursday and I'm super excited to find out whether it's a boy or girl! :-D

Donna88, maternity jeans still don't quite fit me perfectly, I have to keep hitching them up under my bra!
Movement wise, I seem to be similar to you, I feel moment but it's very on and off for now. I expect more in the next few weeks!

What's everyone been up to recently? We've not had much activity in the second trimester section this month. Xx

I've been really busy with getting back into work and sorting the house out. Finding things so much easier now everyone knows I'm pregnant, not a fan of the hiding it stage when you're terrified everything's wrong as well.

Tried posting a bump picture but it keeps failing. No idea why

I am 20 weeks on Friday which is mind boggling!!! I seem to have had a growth spurt over the past couple of days, both bump and boobs have expanded significantly! Boobs are killing in that they sting because of the stretching (was not informed about that happening).

Otherwise, had my first proper movement and kicks on sat/sun and seems to be happening a lot more now, even at work.

Have my 20 week scan a week tomorrow, can’t wait to find out what it is, will be amazed if not a boy!! xx

I'm 18w 3d and finally showing a little. Still no movement though, I'm really bummed. Everyone feels it so early and I have yet too. There was one day I thought I felt something, but that was weeks ago so maybe it wasn't what I though. Next Monday is my anatomy scan <3

Exciting Pennypie - looking forward to hearing what you're having. I can't wait until next Wednesday, it's felt like so far away but can't believe I'm almost at the less than a week to finding out point. Hopefully this week will go fairly quickly hehe.

Alwayscoffee, this is your first isn't it? Most people don't feel movement this early with their first. It could have been movement you felt before as well as my movement has been very on and off - I think it depends on where baby is as to whether I've been feeling it or not. I can go for days without feeling anything, last week I didn't feel anything at all and I was starting to worry - didn't say anything to my husband but he said he thought he could hear baby moving which put my mind at rest a little bit, but then I worried that actually he was hearing just other movements in my guts or something. But then I felt movement again yesterday... it's still early days so don't get too bummed out.

alwayscoffee - I had feelings from about 15 weeks but sure they were too early. Then 17 weeks absolutely nothing so I was getting worried as to why. Then 19+1 and they have really started. Don’t worry about it, as I understand it we will all be soon complaining they are moving too much and making us uncomfortable (which I can’t wait for)!!

Donna88 we have our scans on the same day then! It is so exciting isn’t it!! Everyone is sure mine is a girl, mainly because of my tiny bump, but we shall see won’t we! Eek. xx

Ahh I've just reread that you said a week tomorrow and not tomorrow; exciting that it's on the same day.

Everyone who knows me thinks girl whereas I made a thread on here and everyone said boy so we'll see who's right next week. I wish my scan was in the morning but it's afternoon - not until 3 o'clock. I just really hope everything is okay and that they can see whether it's a boy or a girl

My scan is next Wednesday at 3.40 I really can't wait as I'm going to ask them to confirm if it is a girl - I have been buying loads in the last few days so I really hope it is still looking like a girl!
Still no movement and I'm 20 weeks today 4th baby so always coffee try not to worry its normal to not feel anything up until 20-24 weeks from what I have read online. Xx

Quite a few of us next Wednesday then.

I'm sure you'll be having a girl Lynsey, they wouldn't have said at the last one if they were unsure but I bet you do want to check as I'd be worrying too haha. Obviously they do get it wrong sometimes but they tend to not say now unless they're pretty confident

Aaah everything looks fantastic! Baby was moving around so much and I was weeping tears of joy! Still team yellow!

Lovely bump Phillipa!!

Kholl congratulations, what a lovely pic!

I've had a dramatic week, as I was hospitalised with a very high heart rate and severe breathlessness! Have had every test under the sun and still none the wiser...under strict instructions to rest and take it easy. Was hoping to avoid problems until much later on :(

Aw congrats Kholl, lovely photo and glad all is well! :)

Thanks Gemsy, bump is feeling pretty sizeable now!
God, sounds like a nightmare for you Gemsy, did they find out what was wrong to have caused those symptoms?? Hope you are feeling better now, but yes rest up as much as you can! xx

Not really Phillipa. I have some 'circulation' issues, in that I suffer from migraines, varicose veins and pulsitile tinnitus. I had pre eclampsia in my first pregnancy which left me with permanent high blood pressure and tachycardia. So they think maybe my system is not coping so well with the extra pregnancy blood volume and needs to adjust a bit. The worry was that I had a blood clot but thankfully it's not that. I'm finding it horrible tbh, I'm a generally healthy, fit and active person (despite the BP issues), so feeling unhealthy is really getting me down. I just want a simple pregnancy!
