Hey girls, thanks for all your replies. When i last ovulated it was brown and was the 24th/25th May. Does that mean I should be doing my calculations in the app from my ovulation and not the first day of my last period? Thanks

I ovulated the 17th May so thats puts you about a week behind me and im 8+4 today that could explain why they couldnt see much on your scan as it was still early!

Yes Bubbles, if you don’t know when you ovulated then you’re probably just early! Looking forward to hearing how Friday goes

Ladies this might sound crazy but I’m 99% sure I’m feeling movement. I’m 9+1 and definitely felt my son this early, and my others between 12-14 weeks so I’ve always felt my babies early... I won’t believe it for sure until I see all is well on the scan but it’s very exciting.

Wow kholl thats amazing what does it feel like!? I cant wait to feel baby move but i know its super early yet!

The best way I can describe it is like a tiny fish bumping against the side of its bowl. I am not believing it 100% until I have that scan, but I am pretty sure, having done this a few times before...

Lynsey so sorry about he sickness, mine stopped like 4-5 days ago which I hope is a good and not a bad sign. One week until my scan...

Thank you!! It’s all very strange.
Had no real morning sickness (apart from when brushing my teeth in the morning), but had bloating and back ache from the start so apparently that’s just my symptoms. Got my scan date today for 1 Aug, so hopefully they will find everything ok

Almost want to do another test just to make sure I am, but don’t dare haha. xx

Congratulations Pennypie!

Bubbles....re your dates - your midwife will always date you from your last CD1 - so thats when you count from. On scans they may adjust your dates slightly if the size doesn't match your cycle dates.

I can't wait to find out when my scan date is; I'm hoping they send it through early as I'll be away around about the time it's due. I also need to have my booking in appointment at the hospital so hoping an appointment comes through for that soon too

I called as soon as I knew I was pregnant as thought it was better to just get my name down and let them know.

My nausea was awful last night; so bad I'm wearing my sea band to work. I don't care if someone noticed and guesses - I can't cope with the nausea. Other than that boobs still huge; still feeling bloated on an evening (daytime as well but more on an evening) but that's about it.

Hi ladies.....just come back from my scan!

Have seen our little bean, and the heartbeat. Everything looks good, but baby measuring about 2-3 days smaller than it should do by dates so she wants to see me again in 2 weeks to check the progression and give us more accurate measurements. She said she is not concerned as all looks healthy, and it could just be I have ovulated later than I thought.

These two weeks are going to draaaaagggg....I am trying not too worry too much as she was reassuring, but of course the thoughts are whirring round in my head now

She said everything looks around 5.5 weeks rather than 6. I did have to have an internal scan, as baby was tucked away in a corner, so I think that made it harder to measure too.

I'm surprised there going to scan you again as it's completely normal for you to be measuring a few days either way. It all depends not only on when you ovulated but when the egg was fertilised and when it implanted too. I really wouldn't worry hun

Gemsy- How exciting!! It's hard to really determine the actually day of conception. I am just going off of the day I ovulated, but who knows when the egg actually implanted itself. I'm glad everything was looking good though!

Kholl- that is so cute you felt your baby! I bet that was great reassurance!

Pennypie- Welcome to the group! How exciting

I've just been really bloated and tired, but otherwise no morning sickness or anything else. I did have a smell aversion this morning though and it made me throw up. Yuck. Just taking it easy as much as I can. In 6 weeks, I'm going to do a photography baby announcement on Facebook. My idea is having my husband wear a shirt that says "Drinking for Two" and I'll be wearing one that says "Eating for Two". I'm going to be eating icecream and hubby will have two beers in his hands. We are also going to have a Valentine theme going on with pink and red mixed in and a chalkboard sign that says "Our Valentine is due February 2019!" I'll post pictures when the time comes! I love being creative and having fun. It's the only thing to do to make time go by faster in this first trimester!! It's worse than the two week wait!!

Gemsy, those early measurements can be off by up to a week! I am also surprised they want to scan you again because that doesn’t concern me whatsoever. I’m sorry for the worry but it really doesn’t sound worrisome at all!

Well I’m huge. Hiding my belly/sucking it in is getting exhausting. I can’t wait until after the scan so I don’t have to anymore. Yes the movement is reassuring but also everywhere I read online is like “you can’t feel the baby that early” and I’m like, well first of all how could anyone POSSIBLY know that! But also it makes me doubt myself. And it would be nice to trust my instincts and intuition and body over a scan but the fact is that or bodies and minds trick us sometimes! A scan is more concrete.

Kholl always go with your instinct. If you feel it's the baby then go with it. Like you say, how can anyone possibly know?! Xxx
