Gemsy, congratulations!
I went ahead and scheduled my ultrasound for the hour before my midwife appointment on July 11. I will be 10+2. I feel a little silly after everything I said that was against early ultrasounds, to then turn around and schedule one myself haha. I guess it comes down to the fact that these decisions are not simple and I am feeling that the anxiety is much worse than the ultrasound at this point. July 11 can’t come soon enough.

It's funny how much our opinions change once we're going through something slightly differently ourselves. I think you've made the right decision as you have been worried. July 11th will be here in no time, how exciting.
I'm undecided on whether to book another early scan before we go away for piece of mind - however I will wait and see when my scan is actually booked in for first.

Kholl July 11th will be here before you know it. I have my booking appointment in an hour and I go on holiday 10th July -25th July and then the day after I get back I have my 12 week scan at the hospital.
I am nervous about getting through the appointment today as I know it's long and lots of blood taken and I'm just hoping I can hold it together and not vomit during the appointment.
The heat wave has been horrible. I normally love the sun but I have stayed indoors the whole time.
Hoping I feel better when I go on holiday and can enjoy a bit of sunshine.

I've just got my scan appointment through....17th August! I'm glad I've got an early one booked, that seems like forever to wait! I know it will fly by as I am so busy through July and early August, but my goodness, there are big advantages to not knowing you are pregnant until 7 weeks (as with my first)....so much less waiting! Its so weird to think that with my first, I didn't even suspect I was pregnant at this point!

Appointment went well and luckily I'm not classed as obese or anything so I can still give birth in the midwife unit and hope for a lovely water birth.
I am now totally exhausted though after all the millions of questions and blood tests.
That would have been pretty good gemsy not knowing until later. When I went for my private scan there was a woman there who thought she was 6 weeks and it turned out she was actually 12 weeks!
Glad that's me all booked in now and luckily I got to speak with the midwife who delivered my last baby almost 5 years ago! xx

Glad it went well Lynsey! I have mine on friday, did you take your other half with you? Mines wants to come but not really sure he needs to as Im not even having bloods done at mine as they are making me go all the way to the hospital for that!

I bought my OH to mine when it was my first baby, but TBH he was bored to tears and I don't think he'll bother for this one! Obviously scans etc. he loves to see but otherwise it is just a lot of questions and taking of blood!

We got a babysitter for my first appointment because I need my husband to be there to find out if baby is ok. I want him there to hear/see baby for the first time. After that Ill be going to appointments solo.
Guys I am terrified about my scan. I am so scared the baby will be measuring too small or just wont be there or will have died. I am just absolutely terrified.

Oh Kholl so sorry you are feeling like this i was terrified for mine as well. When i had my scan she first did a scan on my tummy and said she couldnt really see anything so needed to do an internal so at that point I was completly convinced baby had stopped growing and had no heartbeat so was really shocked when everything was all ok.
I know its so hard to stop worrying but chances are your baby is just fine and your scan will go really well xxxx
I know it's hard Kholl, especially as you have experience a loss before. Just try to be positive though as at the moment there is nothing you can do and what will happen will happen - the best you can do for your baby is to be positive and try to stay as de-stressed as possible for you both.
Oh Kholl, its so hard - I think we all have these worries to some extent, but they are obviously preying really heavily on your mind. Just remember, its not long to go, it will be here before you know it, and I'm sure all will be well x

Girls on the apps you all have, did you all put in the first day of your last period, and then it calculates how old the baby now is? Just it says im 7 weeks 5 days, but when I went for my scan last Friday there was still no heart beat. This is ok isn't it?
^^You might not be quite as far along as your dates tell you - don't worry. Have you been booked in for another scan to check growth and whether they can find a heart beat?
Did they do an internal scan as well as an external one?

Just took another CB digi and got my 3+ weeksI'm stepping away from the tests now!
I thought the same, I think im more around 6/7 weeks. But every-time I calculate my dates on different apps it tells me im due Valentines day. Yes, they done an internal last Wednesday, but still no heart beat. I have another internal this Friday. Friday cant come quick enough. They didn't do any measurements on my last scan. Is this normal for them not too?
^^If you're earlier than you think then it would explain why they couldn't find the heartbeat even with the internal. I have no idea - they did measurements with me, but I don't know if that's standard or not.
Good luck for Friday, I hope you see a nice strong heartbeat and get a better estimation of how far along you are.

You defintely could be earlier than you think depending on how long your cycles are when you ovulated etc. Best of luck for you on friday x

Ladies this might sound crazy but Im 99% sure Im feeling movement. Im 9+1 and definitely felt my son this early, and my others between 12-14 weeks so Ive always felt my babies early... I wont believe it for sure until I see all is well on the scan but its very exciting.

That's very exciting Kholl I hope that has put your mind at rest a bit as well.
My boobs weighed 5lbs last night - so I'm not overweight; my boobs are just ridiculously heavy. I almost test my midwife to tell her haha but considering she told me I was barely overweight and to not worry about it or try to do anything about it it's probably not a good idea as she'll think I'm obsessing about it.
I've decided as long as I don't put on over half a stone between now and the end of my cruise (obviously I'd want to put on less if it wasn't for the cruise but I know that's going to be difficult) then I am happy. I wasn't at the weight I wanted to be at when we conceived but I know now isn't the time to try and lose weight. I do have a lot of size 8 and 10 maternity clothes though so it'd be nice if they still fit by the time I have a bump and need them

Hi sleepyhead
I didn't take my husband. This is our 4th baby and I think for 2 and 3 aswell I went to all the appointments myself. He will however come to all the scan appointments.
I had an ok day yesterday. Was only sick once. But today I'm feeling rubbish again and keep having to run to the bathroom to be sick.
