February 2017 Mummies - First Trimester

Hey ladies it is very quiet here! I'm still feeling queasy at 10+2 and hoping it starts to ease soon. Scan on 9th August and will be 11+6 so hope it's not too early or my date are off. Hope your all well x

Sorry ladies for being so slow at getting back...sickness is a killer. Scan went great ! Only 8 weeks +5 at scan so 9 weeks today. Back on 25th august for another scan just because I was so early. It means I'm due 4th March but it will be my third section and it will be done at 39 weeks so still a Feb baby. Hope I can stay around on this thread if no one minds lol!

Aww bless that's so cute. I don't think my little girl understands. Out of interest how was your second c section recover compared to first. I'm so scared of doing it again x

My first was emergency so my second was an elective. I found it so much easier to recover. I was up and feeling good in myself pretty quickly. Where as i really struggled with my first. My second was a much nicer experience overall. Dont be scared hun. Itll be fine honestly xo

Exciting, I can't wait!

So the day is finally here when I've reached the magic 12 weeks at last! Still on the sickness tablets but actually haven't felt too bad today so hoping I can wean myself off them soon

Hi ladies! I hope everyone is ok? I've just got back from a few weeks on holiday which have been lovely. My nausea seems to be easing too which is also good.

Missddk, congrats on your scan and your boys are gorgeous! this will be my 3rd c section too and I think I'll be scanned every 4 weeks from 20 weeks too. My midwife mentioned it but I've not heard anything from her since.

Happy 12 weeks Nic! I'm 12 weeks tomorrow but have to wait a while week for my scan which is so annoying. I've had to keep it secret all holiday and from my friends at a wedding in france yesterday and that was so hard! I just want to tell people now.

Hey girls hope your well, I'm 11+2 today, my scan is 12th August, I'll be a day before 13 weeks then. I've had terrible struggling eating, headaches. Can't wait to hit the second trimester! Xxx

Tigeress we are scan date buddies and due only a day apart at the moment

Missddk your boys are so cute!! My little girl will have no idea what's going on as she is only 11 months but we plan to take her to the scan.

Finding it so hard to not tell people now, the next week and half is going to seem like forever till my scan, think I am going to have to tell my boss when I return to work on 9th even though my scan isn't till the 12th as my work is quite heavy and I will have to avoid certain things.

My nausea has settled most days now but the heartburn is starting already!

Good luck for all those with scans this week and congrats to those who have reached the 12 week milestone! Xx

Hey everyone hope your all well. My scan is next Tuesday on my birthday but I think I'll only be 11+6 which hopefully isn't too early. Had a bit of spotting yesterday but none since so hoping it was just where I strained a bit.

Glad some of you are feeling better. Evenings still seem the worst for me

Wow little_pip is there a reason they are scanning you so often? Are you consultant led? routine scans are just 12 & 20 weeks, midwife appointment at 16 weeks well that is what I had with my LG and all I have booked this time.

Sharon I hope you get some good news soon and they find your shy baby.

Thanks KimmyRJ. Right now the Drs keep saying that the pregnancy is nonviable and want me to take methotrexate, which I'm still refusing - so I'm pregnant, they can't find the baby and have made it sound as if we are just waiting to miscarry

Kimmy: I had a vitality scan at 10+2, it should have been at 7-8 weeks old but I was busy with work. I have another (to fix dates, to apply for maternity leave etc) at 12+1, a long medical scan at 16+5 because my sister in law had a baby with spina bifida (although we know in this case that it comes from her husband's side) and the standard long medical one at 20w. Not complaining, at least all tat insurance I've paid for is put to good use

Aww Sharon, sounds like you are giving baby the best possible chance, carry on doing what you feel is best for you and try to remain strong it must be very hard for you, hope your oh is being very supportive too!

That's cool little_pip, I'm just jealous I will prob only get to see baby twice on scans although I had extra scans with my lg as she was in such a bad position for 20 week scan I had another at 21 weeks and then had growth scans at the end because I was measuring small but couldn't get pics but was good to see her!

Tigeress mine isn't until 4.20 in the afternoon, it's going to be a long day!!

Oh gosh! Yea that is a long day lol. Make sure you keep busy hehehe hopefully it'll come round quick for you, I've got the day off so I will probably sleep in lol xxx

I'm still so very sick. In and out of hospital for fluids and I've lost 2 stone in the past month.

I have my scan a week tomorrow when I'll be 11+5 and the day after my consultant is considering putting me in steroids to try and stop the hyperemesis. I haven't eaten in 3 weeks.

I'll be around more as I feel better x

Ah Lilaco I am so sorry to hear you are having a rough time with the sickness. You poor, poor thing, you must be feeling so weak! I hope it eases soon for you. xx

Aww lilaco you poor thing. I'm trying to wean myself off of the anti sickness tablets now I'm over 12 weeks, took it down to 2 yesterday and didn't feel any worse than I did when I took 3 so that's progress! Got my scan tomorrow and can't wait x
