Good luck everyone with all the tests and scans.
I have a scan today as well and a combination test (hopefully the scan portion will be done today, can't be bothered to take another morning off). The serum portion will be done tomorrow (you just turn up at the hospital for bloods). Also a standard blood test for HIV, glucose, measles etc. pregnancy seems to be a series of appointments...

Hi ladies! Hope everyone's well. I'm now in my second trimester...yay! Also received a letter from the hospital following the combined test. All is well and no risk! Hope everyone's scans go well.

Oh I've just had a scan and it was such a great scan. My first was at the hospital, the person who did it was cold, didn't explain anything, I could hardly make head or tail of the images.
THe echo today was at my midwives' office and it was obviously more for parents (big screen, explanation of where the placenta was, what she was doing etc.). Baby looked good and she thinks it's a boy

Hi everyone. I've been following the board but not really got involved as we had a miscarriage in March so couldn't really relax till I knew all was okay. Plus been feeling so rough!!! Anyway had my dating scan today and all is well 
baby wasn't cooperating and she struggled getting good measurements but ended up putting me 11 weeks 6 days and due Feb 22nd p.s. it's hand is by its face it isn't Mr Burns. Lol

Hi lovely ladies, looks like everyone has had their scan and now happy entering second trimester ! I haven't been active for a while, had a few bleeding episodes. But scan has gone well and glad to be in the sec trimester too ! I have been very anxious but feeling a lot relaxed now.
I am very guilty of not doing regular walks, so not getting much of exercise. That's something I must start being good at !

13 weeks they class as second trimester.

Doesn't 2nd trimester start at 14w? Not that it makes much of a difference- it's just a week's
my doctor says once you have a scan at 10w or more and there's a heartbeat etc, it rarely ends up in a miscarriage so I've told my parents that they may tell my aunts etc.

What was everyones NT measurement? Mine was 2.3 which is the higher end of normal and although its still normal Im still a bit anxious about it. The crl was 71.6 which placed it on the 96th centile which i also thought was odd because i thought at 12 weeks they would adjust your due date to make the crl closer to the 50th centile? Sorry Im rambling and over analysing everything! But if anyone has any thoughts then Id love to hear!

Thanks babybee my nuchal was 1.1 but they said there's no rhyme or reason until bloods come back as people with low measurements can be high risk. 2.3 is completely normal so I wouldn't worry - especially if baby was a little bigger (mine was 50 something cm)

Thanks LD! I know youre right. Ive even done an nt online risk calculator based on my age and the measurements and that gave me a 1:1600 or so risk so you are right. Ill just need to stop thinking about it, chill a bit and wait and see!

I didn't read my measurements as didn't want to start stressing about it. I was told I would get a phone call in 2-3 days if there's a problem and had the scan on Thursday so hoping that's good news as I haven't heard anything yet
