******* February 2015 Mummys to be ********

Aw that's fab Bricey!! My mum is hopeless at that sort of thing so I defs won't be getting anything like that.

So has anyone thought about an epidural yet and whether or not you'll get one? Or any of the ladies who've already had babies got any good or bad stories about them? My SIL raves about hers and when I said I wasn't sure she was like wait till you're in there experiencing the pain you'll change your mind. Xxx

I think I ate the equivalent of about 4 giant potatoes over the course of the evening and last night. Cooked in olive oil and covered in course sea salt. They were divine! Lol It's weigh day today though so im guna end up regretting my decision lol

Hmm I didn't have an epidural, 9lb baby on gas and air. I do remember asking for one but it was too late lol I wouldn't have one, I want to feel my legs post birth despite the pain and feel I can do this on my own (almost) again. I totally get why people choose to have one though. Giving birth is like nothing you've done before... lol

Cosmo last time I went in thinking I'll just start with the lowest form of pain relief ie. gas and air, and go from there. I ended up needing a spinal block as Harry got stuck

This time in going in with the same idea all being well. I don't see why you really need to plan what sort of pain reliefs you want as livery labour is different, and obviously everyone's tolerance of pain is different. To me the most sensible thing to do is don't go in with expectations about how you'll feel/ what you def want, and then you won't be disappointed if it doesn't go to plan.

You don't need to make any decisions about what pain relief you want... I'm still going to try and do it naturally and see what happens xx
Bricey.. That blanket is adorable x

Thanks girlies, I am pretty open minded so sounds like a good idea to play it by ear xxx

I had dd on just paracetamol, she shot out! However at one point I was begging for an epidural but it was just too late. So would have happily had one. I would prefer to do it without again but like others said all Labour's are different so just go with the flow. Its a good attitude to have rather than a strict birth plan.
Flick omg those roast potatoes sound amazing!!
I had to have spaghetti Bolognese tonight, literally had to. So I guess that's a craving?!

Yes! That's most definitely a craving ;)
Oh those potatoes were freakin' lovely, I skipped dinner tonight and had after 8 mints instead. Now at gone 10pm I'm hungry. Hello cupboard of sins... lol x

Bless ya flick, this weekend has gone far too quick xx one week to go till we hit v day x

Ah hello bed! Dd has gone to nursery for an extra day today, so I intend to go back to sleep first of all :)

Aah blondy am so jealous of your sleep. Last night I went to bed at 8 as I was shattered (DS has had me up quite a few nights). Couldn't sleep, felt sick and really full- I knew I was bit constipated but thought the feeling would go away. Hubby came up at ten and I was still awake. Cue going to the loo, being sick, then having an upset tummy and the runs (sorry tmi!!). Ended up going down to sleep on sofa at 3.30 as I needed to sit up to stop feeling sick but couldn't get comfy in bed. and Mondays are mega just for us, and all I want to do is sleep. Ugh.. Don't fancy brekkie but I know I'll just feel worse of I don't eat. Seriously considering chocolate as I'm sure I'll manage to eat that!!

On a brighter note it's my V day today. Bloody he'll how on earth did I get to 24 weeks so quickly?? Xx

I was just thinking the exact same thing beckyboo!!!!
It's my V day too today :) x

aaaaaaand its Monday again, only 3 day week for me though, off thurs and fri, and on friday we are off to order our nursery furniture! yey! given up waiting to see if inlaws will contribute, they are far too busy buying SIL her baby stuff who is due 3 months after us than offer to help us out in anyway. not that we need their help but the gesture would be nice given they are giving SIL £13k for a new house and a pram - RANT

anyway, we have booked a company Mothercare recommend to come and build it all for us, £100 but worth it in my opinion, least it will be done properly and I wont have do do it 6 months preggers, Hubs is useless at flat pack!

Happy V Day starlight and Becky!!

Ahhh that doesn't sound like a nice night at all Becky, hope your feeling better soon! And go for the chocolate.... Better than nothing ;)

Xxx

Bricey that sounds awful unfair...do they maybe think your parents are helping out and don't want to overstep?? Or are they just being mean!!!

We don't get on with my husbands brother and his wife. And by not get on I mean it really couldn't get any worse lol so I know a bit of what you are feeling.

Thankfully we get on great with my inlaws x

hi zoehelen, just wanted to let you know we are team pink not blue ( did think it was a boy though!). roll on tri 3!

Rrrr Bricett poor u! I bet you feel so annoyed - I would find it very hard not to say something!!

We are furniture shopping on Saturday! Going to have a look at mamas and papas! What's everyone gone for I'm so undecided?!?

Also have you gone for cot or cot bed?? Xx

Happy v day girls xxxx

We got a cotbed and changing unit/draws from mothercare in the sale. We already had a wardrobe so just repainting it to make it look a bit better. I really like the buddy bear range in next aswel x

We've gone for a cot bed and changing unit/drawers from mamas and papas, the harbour range in ivory.
Baby brain strikes again tonight! I ordered a groceries delivery from Morrison's, forgot to change my address from old one, so yep they tried to deliver it to the guy at our old house. Thank God he refused it- I had put breast pads on the order!!
