I am trying to keep up my exercise routine (not that its that great) whilst we are TTC, and wondered if anyone else uses the wii fit?

Is it safe to use in early pregnancy or when trying?

I've loked online and most places say yes, but to speak to your doctor if your concerned!

I do the jogging and hula hooping, plus stretching and the yoga!

Hopefully I will still be able to use it, what does everyone think?

x

I have used the Wii Fit in the past and recently bought the new Fitness thing but haven't used it yet

I'm not sure what the manual says, but i think it's your heart rate and breathing that you need to keep your eye on - not the what the activity involves.

So any stretches and movements are ok as long as you are not pushing yourelf beyond your comfort level in any way, which i don't think Wii Fit will :)

As long as your not doing heavy exercise im sure it will be fine, x

I also use the wii fit and do the jogging, hula hooping and cycling about 4 times a week. I don't think it's a problem, as the exercise isn't too heavy. The only problem I'm having at the moment is the jogging as my boobs are so sore I have to support them with one hand whilst I jog!!

oh, exercise!! :censored: Don't say such words! LOL The only exercise I am doing now is walking, yoga, pilates and (toned - down) dancing.

xx

Toned down dancing? Is that a new craze ;.)

No! lol just dancing that isn't as energetic as it used to be. LOL

xx

This is the best time to get fitter and healthier! Yes i use wii fit and do everything! I use treadmill for 15 minute runs and longer walks. I go to aquaerobics twice a week and i do free weights and reebok step. I aim to do something 5 nights a week but im trying to lose weight now. Oh and you know the best exercise under the duvet has to be the best eh? ;-)

Do you think it's ok to do Yoga or Pilates? Theres a pilates class starting down the road from me but when i mentioned it to my mum she said go for something gentler like tai chi, but it isnt going to help my 'core muscles' in the same way as pilates and though i am trying to concieve i dont want to let my weight get away from me which it kind of is at the moment!

Argh!

You are all so active

I'm going to try my new Wii Fitness thing tomorrow! Lets hope it doesn't set the dogs off because they get super excited if i have a dance at MTV

Actually! There is a fitness channel on Sky that i forgot about - they are always doing workouts like the video ones.

Louise B - what kind of dogs do you have? My doggy does the same if i'm dancing in the kitchen, he loves a boogie!

I have a red tri border collie and a fawn pyrenean sheepdog

It's the collie that loves a boogie, if i start singing or dancing he grabs his nearest toy and starts throwing it around the room and spinning around like a lunatic lol

What about you?

I have a black labrador, he's still a pup, almost 8 months old, likes me to grab his paws and pull him on his back 2 legs when i'm dancing so that we can boogie together round the room, he's brill and has taught me and DH the true meaning of patience as he can be a naughty devil sometimes with his antics.

We thought about having a buddie for our Billy but with ttc now i'm not sure if it's the right thing to do at the moment. You must be a busy lady with two dogs! I bet you wouldn't be without them though x

I don't feel any busier actually, maybe even a little less :)

The first one needs to be well trained first imo, because it is impossible to train two naughty dogs at the same time.

I got a smaller breed and a little girl for my second and they get on a treat.

I was insistant i was only getting one dog, but when i thought about it i hated the thought of him feeling left out when i had a baby.

They wear each other out if they have energy to spare :good:

I would like another dog for the same reasons, I would never want to leave our dog out when baby does eventually come along but it may not be so easy to be superwoman and manage a baby and a dog in perfect harmony like I think and hope it will be. I think we will get another dog to be honest but we will need to wait until we move as our house is just enough for one dog really x

Sometimes dogs get really protective over the baby and look after it, My parents had a black lab when I was born and he guarded me like nothing on earth!

Same with my friends baby and there dog!

Has anyone heard of Zumba?? it's kind of just a new style of aerobics and dancing about, not as hard work as aerobics and more fun...ha ha..great fun....does everyoen think that will be okay when ttc....i don;t want to conceive and then bounce about too much that it spoils anything......but people are bound to keep up stuff when they don't even realise they are pregnant......what does everyoen think? will be doing it 1 or 2 times a week.... xx

I've heard of Zumba, it looks really fun .. again I don't know but I imagin it would be okay if people are saying the wii hila hooping and jogging/dancing are okay?
