Hi ladies,
I'm not ttc #3 just yet (had baby #2 in June) but recently ive been having lots of problems which are the symptoms of Endometriosis.

  • Periods every 2 weeks for last 2-3 months. I'm on cd 16 now, and in ALOT of pain where even peeing is painful, I have lots of ewcm so IDK if I'm oving or if its a period about to show. (I think I'm anaemic from bleeding so much now)

Pain during sex, like up higher from.one hip to the other.

Currently trying to loose weight, and lost 1 1/2 stone, but i weighed myself this morning and apparently I've gained 4/5lbs overnight I'm really bloated and have been since last night.

When i start spotting the day before full bleeding I always have a 'bad tummy (feeling sick, using the loo alot)

I have really bad back pain and it hurts really bad when my period is coming up (I'm unsure if this is a symptom tho)

The only thing that makes me think it might not be, is I'm pretty fertile (I might not be now though)
Ive been pregnant 8 times. I had 6 miscarriages, when pregnant with my daughter i started taking aspirin, then when dd was 10 weeks old I got pregnant with my son.

Has anyone had this and had babies? Or could I have developed it within 4 months?
I do have a Drs appointment, I booked ages ago (there's a 3 week wait) also have a smear this week. If i go to the Drs with these symptoms will I be sent for tests, what happens?
Any advise/comments is appreciated
Thanks xx

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2011. I had painful periods from age of 15/16 (I'm 34 now) and went on the pill which helped massively with this. Then around 2010/2011 I was getting excruciating pains around mid-cycle (while still on the pill), to the point where I ended up in hospital. A scan showed a hematoma in my abdomen, which confused the doctor who asked if i had been in a car accident or had some kind of trauma to that area, to which I said no. I was then scheduled for a laparoscopy where they discovered the cause of the hematoma and my pains was endometriosis. The endometriosis was close to my bladder but hadn't affected my fertility, they removed the endometriosis through keyhole surgery in Summer 2011. I fell pregnant with my daughter in November 2011, only 2 months off of the pill. I did start getting pains back a couple of years later, and had surgery again in 2013 to remove what turned out to be a very small amount of endometriosis that had returned. 5 years since my last surgery (been on the pill the whole time except for when ttc my daughter), my pains are minimal and I've now been off the pill since June 2018 ttc baby number 2. I'm not worried that my endometriosis will have affected my fertility, but if after trying for a long time nothing happens, I will speak to my doctor to investigate this.

The only way endometriosis can be found and diagnosed is through a laparoscopy.

Hope this helps.
