Hi guys,

Something happened to me yesterday and I really want to get it off my chest (it's really upset me).

3 years ago I was diagnosed with sever endometriosis after I had disabling pains in my belly (sometimes I could only manage to crawl it was that bad). I didn't want kids at the time so I was put on the injection which stopped my periods and stopped the endo pain. I came off the injection last year and my periods got back to normal, trying to conceive, everythings fine...

So anyway, been on clomids since April and I was 2 weeks late for my period which I got on Saturday. It was extremely heavy and came with stomach cramps. It just so happens though that I had a blood test before I came on.

Yesterday I gradually started getting pain and I couldn't stand properly, I then went as white as a piece of paper and went dizzy and started slurring my words!! paramedic came out to work and they wanted me to go to the hospital, I didn't want to go so promised them I would go to docs.

Went to docs - they told me 2 things:-

1 - Based on my blood test I am severely aneamic and because of all the blood I lost since the test, my body went into a state of shock. Doc was suprised i didn't faint!!

2 - the endometriosis pain is coming back

The aneamia I don't mind as that can be solved with iron tablets. But the only way to stop the endometriosis pain is to go back on the injection or have a hysterectomy (strong painkillers do not help in the slightest). So my options are, try fr a baby and have severe pains every month or go on the injection!!

I really want kids and I feel that I have no choice but to bear the pain :shakehead:

I'm sorry hun, I really don't have any advice for you but I didn't want to read and run.

Is there nothing they can for the pain?

Take care xx

Oh steph that is really crap :(
:hugs:
What about a tens machine? My mum uses it for her arthritis??! And ppl use it in labour may help??

X x

Thanks Drummers wife, What is a 'tens machine'?????

I will consider anything at the minute because me and OH have been talking about me having a hysterectomy - he can't stand to see me in so much pain and I can't keep having paramedics out to me!!! yes, it's that bad that I'm considering giving up children of my own
:(:(:(

Hey luvie, tens machine gives u a little electric shocks through the skin via patches - put it into eBay and should come up with them?!
Nor sure if would help but some ppl use them in labour and i presume it's similar pain?? X

Jus done quick google search and gives you loads info on it so see if it would!?
Worth a try at least?! X

Hi can you not consider a laparoscopy? have you ever been referred to a specialist? these days they dont consider a hysterectomy to be the way to go especially with someone who wants children.

Laparoscopy obviously isn't permanent but can reduce the symptoms for a while and basically clears you out. Then if you get pregnant they say it can clear it up the endo dramatically.

Hi Nickynoo

I've had a laparoscopy which diagnosed me with severe endometriosis. They couldn't remove any because it was 'cemented' to my ovaries and it was very likely that it would make me infertile. At the time (3 years ago) I just went on the injections as I wasn't ready to have kids.

I have read up on a few things thanks to previous posts and I'm going to purchase a TENS machine - also going to change my diet - no wheat, dairy, caffeine or chocolate when AF is here. See how it goes. I'll let you guys know if it helps. Might be able to help other people then in the same situation :)

steph i think i remember a girl who suffered from same thing on embarrassing bodies - from memory they were able to get her pain under control - might be an idea to try to find this case on their website to see if you can get some tips etc x

Ok, got an update!!

Got a TENS machine, yay!! Although AF has gone away and all I'm getting is twinges which I really don't mind since I can still sit up and walk etc.

So...gotta wait until next month to see if the machine works - I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that AF doesn't turn up and that I get my BFP. That will solve all my problems, for 9 months anyway.

:dust::dust::dust::dust: to everyone

Thank you DW :)

Good luck and fingers crossed for you too hun, I know you have been TTC for a while, maybe we can both get our BFP before christmas?

:dust::dust::dust::dust::dust:

Let's hope so luvie x was hoping for 2011 baby when 1st started trying :( let's hope I can have a 2012 baby now instead x
Hopefully drs will give me meds and get me sorted quickly :)

Did you say you were due to have another scan at some point? when is it?

I'll keep everything crossed for you :)

Had my scan on Friday - strongly indicates pcos but still clinical decision so gotta wait to see gp but she may not get the results for 2wks x x x

 2 weeks is a bit of a bummer, especially when TTC. Do they not realise what we have to go through!!
