So yesterday I thought the worst was going to happen and I was going to lose at least one ovary.......but it turns out the cysts are totally benign and it's just good old endo! So I have been referred to an endo specialist and my acupuncturist will be able to help too. Albert was conceived naturally although after 10 years of trying and during the laparoscopy yesterday the consultant gave me a "wash out" which I am assuming was to help clear some of the endo. For the first time ever i am looking forward to my next af to see what happens. Bring it onnnnnn!

Does anyone else have severe endo and what treatment have you had? xxxxxxxxxx

I don't have it no but wanted to say best of luck with getting ya bfp n happy for u that u didn't need surgery xxx

Yayy for having endo and not more serious Babybrain! well done you

That's great that you could have the clear out , I have heard another lady in the lttc section is now trying again after her lapasropy to remove endo.

Good luck to you for a speedy sibling for little Albert

I have endo Hun . Am currently waiting for an assessment to see how it is and what has to happen next , I have had lazer removals and hormone treatments so if you need advice ask away x

I'm not sure what the treatment plan is until my referral. Is there anything dietary I can do to help? Once the lap is healed I'll start my martial arts training again but just at home to get my pre-pregnancy fitness back again. I hate feeling so out of control with everything but it could have been a lot lot worse!

Yeah,ive got endmoetriosis.

Laparoscopy and surgical removal as far as i was aware are the only means of reducing or removing what is already there and some forms of contraception (ie dianette) can be used as a preventative.

I was pushing my dr for a means of diagnosing what stage the endo is with me right now, after being off dianette for as long as i have been but he says thats surgical and theyre not keen on doing anything invasive unless its an absolute necessity so im not sure where that keaves me with that.

If there are other means of measuring what stage endo is at then id appreciate the heads up here and i will take the info back to my drs and see what they have to say :)

im past a year ttc, have pcos too, working towards private fertility treatment and hoping *pending how long dr results take to get back and the next scan to be done* to book my consultation with the fertility specialist for october and finally get somewhere with actually doing something instead of all this time ticking away waiting for drs and their views about tests and such lol!

Have you had a lap before ? It will take a little while to heal so take it easy with yourself :hugs: obviously being fitter helps but sometimes when you are sore and tired fitness is the last priority .

As for diet I was recommended to have hight fibre foods and avoid too much red Meat , pasta , Caffeine or salt . Fried food upsets my tummy and greasy food too . I find that if I'm bloated it's worse and around the time of my period I would have symptoms of an irritable bowel (tmi) so can't eat an awful lot without being sick .

Yeah my IBS is always worse at af and I'm prone to constipation which makes the af pains even worse. I also feel really full even though I'm starving if that makes sense and can sometimes only manage a few mouthfulls. So I've got loads of fruit and veg, have to be careful with fibre as I have wheat intolerance. Reduced dairy cos of intolerance and I'm going to get some good multi vitamins and give myself a boost.

I know I may have a tough battle ahead of me again getting pregnant but this time I know what I'm dealing with. When we first started ttc my OH wouldn't do a sperm test so my gp basically washed their hands of me. Now that they have no choice to treat the endo I feel more positive. Know thyself, know thy enemy lol

I have no experience but wanted to wish you luck and so pleased you didnt need the surgery xx

Started bleeding today after a few days of brown spotting since the lap. It looks really different, not so dark and much less clotting, no pain either although af pains have been a lot better since starting acupuncture, Fx this is a good one and my body can get back to normal!
