Early Detailed Scan

Has anyone had an early detailed scan before? I'm due to have one this week as I had a high risk of DS - 1:135. We declined the amnio and cvs as the risks miscarriage with those were actually greater than the risk of having a baby with DS.
Just wondered what happens at this detailed scan - is it just like the normal 20 week scan?

Hi yeah the detailed scan is basically the 20 week scan so guess they are just bringing yours forward. Had mine yesterday and it just involves her taking lots of measurements and doing lots of checks on the heart and spine......hope everything goes ok for you hun and you get good news, all the best xx
