Dressing gown for hospital bag recommendations?

Cas and Mrs S- I love that you guys haven't either yet! It will be just my luck that I'll keep putting it off and off, then I'll have to let my husband pack mine and I'll give birth in a maxi dress or one of my capes LOL xx

When are you due? I wouldn't trust my oh to bring up clothes either! I'm hoping to do my bag today, my baby's arriving on the 14th so it helps knowing that! the only thing I need is a dressing gown - I definitely need one to cover myself up after section x

I'm due 1/12 but I've got GD and have been told it's highly likely I'll be induced anytime from 38 weeks which is 17th November eek. I know I've got 6 weeks to go but I'm a slight organisation freak...I say this but didn't pack tonight either LOL...
I start my mat leave on Oct 22nd. ROLL THE F*CK ON, I'm so ready to not go back!
Xx

Spoke to a midwife from the hospital at an event last night - she said the hospital I am going to is warm and definitely do not need a dressing gown! She said it can get too hot but they like babies to be warm in there.

She also said an essential item for the hospital bag is a flannel, women can get too hot and having a flannel is brill for them to be able to cool it down and put on you for a bit of relief!

Yeah theyll provide endless iced water weeza so you can soak and wring it out to put on your head etc x

I've got a pack of 4 flannels from Primark so hopefully won't need anymore ha! I think I might be too warm too but am borrowing my sisters now which is a thin maternity one. I'm starting to dread being all boiling and sweaty and uncomfortable more than pushing the baby out...lol. Xx
