Dressing gown for hospital bag recommendations?

I packed a thin waffle one from primark when I had my son, never used it! Nearly burned to death on the ward.

I'm ALWAYS cold, but knowing me I'll buy one and get too hot too! Would mainly like one to cover up if I have to walk/potter anywhere xx

Yes me too. My hands and feet are always like ice. May have been the ward I was on as there were a lot of us with babies who'd had traumatic deliveries. In the day it was 27 degrees as standard. Ended up just popping some shorts on if I needed to nip to the loo the rest of the time I just covered up with the bedsheet.

Hopefully your post labour ward will be a bit more comfy temperature wise!

Why are hospitals like greenhouses?? I hope it's a comfy temp too, will have a shock going out of the hospital when I leave as it will be late Nov/early Dec! Xx

I'm taking in a handheld fan and cooling spray ha ha. I'm always sweating

I've got the cooling spray and this gel stuff for my feet which I use after work sometimes. Good idea about the fan!! Going to pack tomorrow- are you packing a towel for you? Also I need to get some dry shampoo too, and a few extra smellies bits. You really would think I'm off on holiday....lol. Xx

I get very cold and agree that I was roasting in hospital. I only wore my dressing gown going to collect my meals from the trolley as I made sure i had a shower and got dressed every day when DH get to the hospital.

Yeah I've packed a towel but it's a really old dark pink one. Just a bath towel not a bath sheet so it's not that big. I can't fit a bigger one in ha ha. It'll do

I am alway feeling cold so was prepared to take a dressing gown and wool top for the hospital until I had to spend a night there last week... Oh dear Lord, I was sweating like crazy! The place is roasting and they have fans going day and night As soon as I came home the next day I took the dressing gown and top out of the bag x

Yeah Vegas, think I'll pack a smaller one (and my towel turban thing in case I get to wash my hair lol). Khtw, I hope mine isn't too hot- I'm not good with either heat extremes! I'm cold in the day but need a fan blasting at me at night...
So after all my shopping, my sister said I can borrow hers (Vegas she got the mothercare one you showed me!) so think I'll use that as doubt I'd wear it again at home. Didn't get round to packing bag today so will do it tomorrow. Xx

Another mega busy weekend. Finally finished decorating our bedroom and put baby crib in there. Looks so cute. Still got baby hospital bag to get together

Ahhh, nice! I've just been soooo tired today- walked the dog and made a Stew, then just wanted to sleep! Hospital bag didn't get packed, and not much else got done today either... Oops. We've still got to finish baby's room, need a roller blind next and to finally get a cot Mattress! Xx

Cas and Mrs S- I love that you guys haven't either yet! It will be just my luck that I'll keep putting it off and off, then I'll have to let my husband pack mine and I'll give birth in a maxi dress or one of my capes LOL xx

When are you due? I wouldn't trust my oh to bring up clothes either! I'm hoping to do my bag today, my baby's arriving on the 14th so it helps knowing that! the only thing I need is a dressing gown - I definitely need one to cover myself up after section x
