Does the full moon have an effect on women going into labour-discuss!

On Friday, the midwife looking after me seemed convinced that there were usually far more women going into labour around the time of the full moon.

FYI here are the upcoming full moon dates this year:

Tuesday 24 August 2010
Thursday 23 September 2010
Saturday 23 October 2010
Sunday 21 November 2010
Tuesday 21 December 2010
