A few people have said to me 'I bet you go into labour on Monday cos there is a full moon' :?
Does anybody know if the moon does have any effect on bringing on labour? Sounds a bit strange to me, but hey ho, if it means my baby comes soon then i'm up for believing it

Ooh I hope so, maybe we should all be eating lots of pineapple curry, swigging caster oil and bonking like mad on monday just to make sure we REALLY have a good chance!!

I know I was born on a full moon so maybe it does give a labour boost :D

Well have heard a few midwives say that the labour wards are always busier on the full moon.. if it can have such an effect on the height of tides then it kinda figures that it may pull on some ready to pop waters too :D xxx

GOD I hope so!!!

I was funnily enough discussing this with my husband and I said I bet the labour ward will be full over the full moon on the 15th September!

My midwife has told me on numerous occassions that the full moon has alot to do with an influx in birth rates.. not sure on the science of this but i think its rather interesting.

So heres to all us that are full term and over cooked babies.. lets all have an eviction party on the 15th September

Take care
