Doctors appointment on Wednesday!

Iv got my first doctors apointment on Wednesday but dont really know what will happen. Probably get a pregnancy pack and make a midwife apointment? Does anyone know what the chances are of having an early scan since iv had a m/c before? obviously its very hard for us to be 100% excited at the moment because we are always worrying something will be wrong so will we get an early scan or have to wait till 12 weeks? so nervous!

TBH your doc might not do a thing, mine dont All they will do is pass your details on for a MW to get in touch with you hun. What you could do is get the MW details and give her a call and explain thats its taken a really long ime to conceive and you had a previous m/c and ask if there's any chance of an early scan?

I have just moved to a new surgery, I am very lucky as I get to see the midwife already on Wednesday to go through with her my concerns about m/c ect.

I would speak to your doctor about this and see if you can see her earlier

I got mine at 4pm today. If he tries to do an internal examination, I will tell him to bugger off

Iv had an internal and honestly there is nothing to worry about, i wasnt as embaressed as i thought id be. Im going to ask my GP and hopfully she will get me into have a scan, she is lovely, so really listened to me when i was TTC (and finally got me in to see a specialist)! Finger crossed!

Hi I had my appt today and the Doc did zilch just asked me when my last menstrual period was, if it was my first pregnancy and would I breastfeed! He just said he'd pass my details on with the midwife who would be in touch shortly to arrange a home vist xx hope it goes well xx

He asked wether you would breastfeed? blimey why, does he want some or something?

i wasnt asked that until I was in my final trimester! and was asked by a midwife ( i did bf )

I went to docs and they arranged for first scan at 6 weeks cos i had 2 m/cs this year, I didn't need to ask. I get second scan 2 weeks on thurs. So you should ask.
