my rents have moved there and i want to go quite soon on a ferry but my oh doesnt have a passport i want something quick and easy whats that thing beginning with e? lol helllp

its just i didnt know becasue i remember going on ferries before and no1 so much as looks at you let alone ask for a passport lol

Yeah, it's a pain for me too cos my OH is South African and he needs a VISA to go there! I'd love to do a day trip or something, but the visa is expensive and you need all silly stuff like a letter from your employer, proof of funds and a return ticket etc to get it

I got eva's passport back within 2weeks - if you pay £7 at the post office they check it and it takes 2weeks to come back x

It's a right pain!
Ideally we'd like to get a last minute bargain ticket to greece or somewhere one day, but the embassy need return tickets and everything at least 6 weeks in advance so no bargains for me

 

You have to have a passport whenever you leave the country and I think it takes between about 6 - 8 weeks for it to come through

I sent off for my new passport in May, it was back within 2 weeks and i didn't use the post office checking thing

yeah, they say it take UP TO 4weeks if you send it off by yourself and about 2weeks if the post office check it.

another thing you can do is pay about £70 and go to the passport office near you - then you get it the same day
