We go for our 20 week scan on Monday,

the question is do we ask what sex the baby is or not?

at first i wanted to know and oh didnt, now he says he'd like to know but now i'm thinking it would be a nice surprise.

we still havent made our mind up.

any advice and would you find out?

I am gunna find out hopefully on Tuesday and I can't wait. We know it's the right thing to do for us.

I found out when I had Jamie and I will find out this time, just because I am very impatient

The way I see it is it doesn't spoil the surprise you just get it earlier, but you have to make your own mind up on this one I'm afraid and do what you want, nobody else can tell you.

we found out coz we wanted 2 shop 4 clothes and 2 decide on names.
its still a surprise, its just 4 months earlier!

I wasn't allowed to be told with Tia....so I was adamant I would find out this time... But thats just because I have experienced it one way and didn't like it... I'm like fifi211.. I'm WAY too impatient...and I don't like surprises...I like being able to plan and it takes me a while to get used to anything new...

But its your decision...Go on what type of person you are...

I vote yes....It's what we've done and I am so glad I know, think it has helped with the talking to the bump thing- now I know he's my wee boy also we can buy all boy stuff
But it's really your choice, you'll know by time scan comes what you want to do.
My friend says she never wanted to know so on the day she could say, "hello it's you...after all this time" but me I need to know NOW!!!

Get them to write it on a bit of paper and seal it in an envelope then you can check at some point if you want but don't have too

nooooo!! i dont think you should do it... and the whole thing.. we bond better, and feel closer to him/her because we know is a pile of pants, yeah ok u can buy loads of blue or pink stuff... but come on..wheres the excitment.. im loving the drama.. lol... more so keeping it a secret from everyone..they get frustrated.. alex's mum said hows the baby.. u feeling HIM kick a lot.. i said yeah IT's kicking loads.. shes said.. sorry.. hahaha i dont realise im calling it him, i just think tis a boy lol...

Then theres the question of would you rather discover the sex yourself or have your OH tell you? ...To me thats more special than a random sonographer who tbh couldnt care less wether its a boy or girl lol....agree with Lisa and Mary 70 ...........xx But agree with Budge too its none of anyone elses business do what you want..

I agree with the new more mellow Midna (is it buyng baby stuff thats had this effect??) My OH told me that we had a daughter and it was the most special moment ever, just me, him and our baby - midwife was clearing up, and it was perfect}. This time I am copying budge and am going to find out for myself - am soo excited.
