As you are aware my oh cheated on me when i was pregnant as he was scared of bing a daddy (hes 35). Although we dont live together he is on the scene but we are taking things slowly.

DS is now 8 months old and im meant to go back to work part time next week two days a week. I have also started college so that i can do nursing and midwifery next year at uni so i can get a better life for me and son.

However do i struggle with working two days, getting unpaid work exp fr two days and college two days or not go back to work which will mean having to claim ibenefits but will get a better llife for me and son in long run? Id be £250 worse off by not going back.

Thanks

If you are investing in yours and your lo's future then I'd say it's worth going back. You have already sadly found out that to be independent financially is prob the best gift you can give yourself so that if future relationships go sour, you don't have the worry of not being able to support your family. Good luck hun, your lo will be very proud when they're old enough to understand x

Unfortunatelystaying at home is not an option for me as i refuse to be a sahm.

However if you can do without that £250 its up to u. x

Well I'm not just going to be a sahm.... I will also be doing college course, unpaid work exp and looking after ds

id say go for it. I need to do an access course for nursing to gt into uni but just cant afford to at moment. x

I've just found work after almost 2 years searching and can't wait for the extra cash (as a health care assistant so I can skip college and get the nhs to train me for nursing lol) and I'd say try working and if you feel it's too much then you can leave. You really don't get a huge amount as a single parent and although you won't be hard up, you might really want to extra money to do things with your LO :)
