Different sign of labour

This is kind of a disgusting question lol sorry, but did anyone experience diarrhea just before labour? At my NCT class we were told that diarrhea will be the body's way of clearing the system out ready for all that pushing, and that it could be a sign of labour.

So I'm just curious to know if that's happened to any of you ladies? I know I have awhile to go yet but I have been having problems when going to the toilet (sorry tmi) and just hoping it's just another pregnancy symptom! lol x

I never had this with my first but I know lots of ladies that did. Either diarrhoea or vomiting can be your body's way of clearing out to prepare for labour. Something else to look forward to

I didn't have diarrhea, but I did poop at least twice a day for a week beforehand x

Oh no I hope it's something I've eaten because I have been feeling nauseous for the past 2 days, hope it's just a tri 3 thing, I've been having period pains on and off it's horrible

My poo schedule was all over the place during tri3 so I wouldnt worry about it. I also felt sick quite a bit like I'd eaten something dodgy xxx

I've swung between constipated and diarrhea thoughout tri3, i keep thinking it means somthing, then nothing happens!

With my first I was sick as I went into labour but cant remember about bowl movements. At the mo though hun my bowl movements are all the place some days I can go really easy and others is a different matter lol.
I think it is just a tri 3 thing

I did, I'd already started contracting a few hours before but didn't realise it was contractions, had clear out, waters went an hour after

Thanks for all the replies! I hope labour happens after 27 weeks for me and not now, but I'm feeling normal now so that's kept me reassured. I hope I get diarrhea before labour and avoid any accidents whilst having my baby! lol

lol same as me but i've had both constipation and soft stools so I think I'll just have to see near my induction what happens lol

My stool pattern and consistency has been very strange last few weeks - think its normal!

I have had 3 number 2's this morning in space of an hour!!!! And all really soft sorry tmi xx I'm hoping its some sign lol x 38+4 today getting very close woo woo xx
