Did it happen for anyone else in first month of trying?

Hi all, new poster here.

Found out last sat that i am pregnant, went to docs on Monday and she said i'm about 5 weeks so still early days. My hubby and i only started trying last month so i guess we can count ourselves as very lucky, honestly never thought that would have happened straight away. Did this happen for anyone else?

Also my last period was on 8 May, i think my date of conception was about 22/23 of May would that be about right?

I got pregnant completely unexpectedly after just one session of the fruity stuff! I certainly wasn't trying. That's not to say that this is not going to be a very very happy accident

hiya, welcome to the forum and congratulations!

I came off the pill last September and waited until I had a natural period. We started trying straight away and I fell pregnant almost immediately... Was very happy and surprised. I was told it could take around 6 months+ because of being on the pill for a few years and also coz I'm a bit on the cuddly side and not to get my hopes up! Thankfully we were just very lucky xxx

im the same came off the pill last sept and had a normal bleed in feb and another in march and fell pregnant end of march time my husband gutted cause he couldnt have longer trying so it does happen xx

I fell first month in jan this year, but ended up having missed miscaridge at 11 weeks , tried while waiting for first period after MC with no luck, and then fell the next month, so pretty lucky too X

I don't think it's sunk in yet, we never thought it would happen right away, you hear about an average of 6 months etc..

Would appear that we are in the same boat. Came off the pill 25th of April, next thing i know i am pregnant. I am either 5 or 7 weeks at the moment...wont know for sure until i have a scan!

I feel very lucky to have fallen pg straight away....just hope it sticks!

Yep it happened first month for us- DH and I had agreed to start trying from 1st Jan 2010 and so before that I'd done all my research as to how often to BD and about ov sticks and best times of the month and so it seems that with lots of prep and a bit of baby dust it happened for us - got my BFP on 4th Feb and been on ever since!

Hello citygirl, congrats on your BFP!

I was on the pill for 7 years when I came off and was also told that it could take up to a year to get everything back to normal in regards to ovulation and stuff. I came off in January, had my first period in february and was pg by March!

Congrats, I came off pill end of december and we planned to start trying in march once we knew my cycle and got pregnant that very first week of trying!

With Lacey got pregnant while on the pill so wasn't trying, had a m/c last year which happened after just the one lot of unprotected sex, but with this one it took us 3 months. My bro and sis in law came off the pill dec, thought if it happens within 2 years their be happy but it happened straight away!!!

I'm not a lucky one. I came off the pill and had no period for about 6 months, and have spent the last nearly two years trying. I have very long cycles, but was waiting for this one to start so we could get on with treatment, but unexpectedly, it never came

Hi hun, congrats on ur pregnancy. I had my coil removed on new years eve and had one period then and that was it. I concived all my kids within the 1st month of trying. We are just so thrilled and reali count ourselves lucky xxx

It just happens. May 2005 pregnant first month but sadly miscarried, waited for AF and tried that month and again fell pregnant and had DS. This time had coil removed 8th March and AF started 10th and AGAIN fell pregnant straight away. Think we are just too compatible when it comes to conceiving and think we are very lucky. DH was enjoying the trying too so was gutted lol. Put it this way, after this one is born the coil goes back in straight away!!!!
