***********December 2015- Final Leg***********

Hope you are all ok?

I have had a truly awful weekend, my father in law sadly passed away this morning unexpectedly. I am so gutted our baby won't get to meet it's grandad. My fiance was so close to his dad and is totally heartbroken, I just don't know what to do. I have had 2 hours sleep since 10am on Saturday, am totally knackered but don't want to sleep.

xx

So so sorry for your loss. You need to try get some sleep though, probably for yourself more so than baby. It's terrible when a loved one passes especially as it is so recent & raw. Do you & your husband have support from family? Talking & reminiscing helps but there are several steps to grieving. It takes time but maybe once the news has settled in you could think of a way to incorporate your FIL when lo arrives. What about an inclusion of his name or variation of his name if having a girl? Big hugs xxx

Honey I am so sorry. Just wanted to say thinking of you and your oh. It must be an absolutely awful time for you. Take care of yourself honey. X x x

Thanks girls. Yes we have family around, Ben only really has his mum though, but they will look after each other and luckily I am close to her. Managed to get some sleep finally and eaten. We have so much to sort before baby comes along and starting to panic but don't want to put pressure on Ben whilst he is grieving. xx

Just take it one thing at a time and prioritise Lisa. You can only do what you can do and remember you need to look after yourself. Don't get too hung up if everything isnt perfect (hard I know!)

Let the ppl around you help honey. Big hugs x x

Very sad news indeed. So sprry for your families loss. Agree with Melissa though, only do the essentials. There is plenty of time to get things sorted and what you don't get done, people can help later xx

So sorry to hear your sad news. Like the others have said don't put pressure on yourself - baby doesn't need much, anything you need to buy try and order online. I find lists help.

Main thing is you all taking care of each other.

xxx

Hi ladies sorry I've not been around for a few months. I hope we are all doing ok... Nothing for us to all go now. Lisa - sorry for your loss Hun.

So been for a 33 week check with the midwife today and bp is starting to creep up :(

Yeah, weekly appointments here on in, unless it rises further, then it will be every other day again.

On the plus side though, given that this will be a December baby with a potential of being a November baby if BP continues to climb, I've done all of my Christmas Shopping today. All cards are bought and all presents are bought with the exception of hubbies. Whoop. Feeling organised for once. No Christmas Eve shopping for me this year!

Hey ladies.

Good to hear you are doing well Kirsty :-)

Sorry to here your bp is creeping up, let's hope it stays as it is or lower. Great news on the chrimbo shopping. I've done most of mine and wrapped a bit. Need to get DS on the case making more cards tomorrow! X

Hi all- hope you're all well
Didn't even realise we were in tri3! Last few weeks have been so busy. Had a trip to Paris for me and husband which was supposed to be our little holiday before baby was born but had to cancel it- and couldn't reschedule because he was already going away with his parents for a couple of weeks- missing him like mad thankfully he's back tomorrow
I had my 28 week appoint last week
When she measured me she said I was measuring at 24.5 I wasn't too worried though- I'm quite a chilled out person and quite relaxed about things
She said she'd just remeasure at 32 weeks and if any concerns then they'd refer for scan
However then she rang me back last Friday and she goes oh I've discussed with colleagues and we want to book you in for a growth scan and also consultant appt!

So a bit anxious about it
Anyone else measured small for dates?
I couldn't have it last week as have been visiting my family this week whilst hubby away
So got it on Tuesday

I have now bought the majority of what we need for little one. The nursery is almost finished. It's all getting more & more real! X

My nursery is still not done but I'm not too worried. Hubby is going to paint it when he is off in a couple of weeks and build all the furniture. I said to him the only thing annoying me is the chest of drawers. I have washed all baby clothes and put them back in bags until my drawers are built. I honestly thought I would be stressing if it wasn't all done by now but I'm actually not that worried!! Xx

It hasn't been stress to get it done; think my husband has just been excited to do it! I haven't done the washing yet but will start soon as thinking about packing my hospital bag. On that note I'm trying to work out what I actually need to take with me. The thread on here seems quite far ranging in how much people are taking x

I'm all packed for the hospital. I have packed stuff for me, a range of sizes of babygrows for the baby and a few things for hubby too. I looked at a few lists and just went with what I thought. I did buy water wipes as my friend suggested. Xx

Starting to get hospital bits together. My husband said I am going over the top but I really don't think I am! X
