Do people put their LOs down for their day naps in their cot? And in pitch black?

Or do u keep day naps light? Or alternatively do u let them nap wherever they fall asleep?

I always put A down in his cot with the blackout blind down.

Just wondering :)

xxxx

We r the same, cot with blackout blind! Havent really ever been able to get him to sleep in anything else! xx

T has 3 naps per day.

The lunchtime nap is the longest and if I'm in the house she sleeps in her crib in the dark. I try to make sure she gets a quality good few hours.

The other 2 naps I'm not so bothered. Usually she has them in her bouncer in the living room or pram.

I don't want her to have to rely on a dark room to get some kip.

I try to do the same - cot, dark room, but sometimes she'll fall asleep elsewhere and I won't move her cos she'll wake up. Yesterday morning she fell asleep in her bouncy chair fr her morning nap, so that's where she stayed!

we keep room light so that she knows its daytime and also so she can nap anywhere and isnt reliant on it being dark. she also always goes in her moses basket if we are not out and about in her pram.

ikwym T - but I have a toy poodle n if he sees a cat thru the patio window n starts to bark I have one grumpy baby if he gets woken :)

I do morning nap of 30mins ish in the swingy chair, then do longer midday nap in the cot with thin curtains drawn but not blackout blind and she normally has at least an hour. The afternoon is when I go out so nap can be car seat, me etc etc. x

I think u r lucky if u can get LO to sleep without the room being darkened- never quite managed this with Ethan once he was past about 3 months! He will sleep in the pram if we r out and about, but never as well as in his co anymoret. He still knows the difference between night and day tho- I just makes the pre-nap routine different to pre-bedtime and make sure he knows its daytime when he is awake. Wish we did have more flexibility of where he would sleep tho- I think he is like me tho- I cant really sleep unless its dark and Im in my bed! xxx

Ooooh, I can see how that would make napping difficult!

If we r in, Henry goes in his crib with one curtain closed so it dims it slightly but not too much. If we r out he usually falls asleep in his pram so I leave him x

She naps 3 times a day. Her mid morning is a 40 minute nap, her dinner time nap is a 2 hour nap and then has a 30 minute tea time nap.

I put her in her cot for her 2 hour nap but for the shorter naps I leave her where ever she had dozed off x

I put K in her cot for at least one nap a day and keep it pretty dark. She will nap in the car or pram too if we are out and in my arms if we are at someone's house. She naps three times a day usually about 40 minutes each.

I put max in the cot maybe once or twice but don't make the room dark incase it confused him about day/night. But other times ill just let him sleep wherever-he mostly falls asleep on me though and that's when I put him in the cot if its gona be a long nap xxx
