So o has kinda figured his routine out now and he naps at 9.30/10am for about an hour and 3/4pm ish for about a hour!

So i figure I would start putting him in his cot for naps but do I put him in his cot for both or just one? Don't want him to confuse night and day

I put her in her basket for naps but leave curtains open so she knows it's light and so daytime. I also say the word 'nap' a few times as I put her in and then at night it's 'bobies'. So hopefully as time goes on she will know the difference xx

I think by now he'd know night and day. My LO learnt it within weeks just through stimulation in day none at night

Yeah he sleeps thru at night so he does no the difference I just don't wanna confuse him

I worried about causing confusion when I first did this but there shouldn't be because you have a different routine for bedtimes. Angels been sleeping in her cot for naps for nearly a month now and is fine xx

yeah, true....always have bathtime at night before bed :D x

I would avoid the cot if you can, it could confuse him.

Why not put him in his buggy in the bedroom instead, so its slightly different to bedtime, or a moses basket or something like that.

xxxxxxx

Jax has all his naps in his cot and has done since he was 10 weeks with no problems x

Mummy to two beautiful boys; Lennon born 5th March 2006 and Jax born 24th October 2011 :) <3

I was wondering about this since E has been in her cot. At the moment she naps in her chair or sometimes I'll pop her in her pram but won't be able to do this forever. When I have put her in the cot to nap I've left the curtains and blind open and also used a blanket instead of grobag to make it different.
