Cyclogest pessaries question

Hi ladies,

I have been given cyclogest pessaries 400mg. On the prescription from the consultant it is ticked on 400mg cyclogest pessaries, once a day but on my prescription from the chemist it says one, twice a day. How many were you told to use. I am thinking its more likely one a day as 800mg seems a bit much xx

I was putting in cyclogest pessaries twice a day, every 12 hours xx

I got given them in a previous pregnancy and was told to take 2 a day but this time I'm only on one. I don't really think it'll do you any harm if you take 2 but maybe just call back the dr and check.

If I can give you a bit of advice, alternate between back and front entrance. I find if I do front too much I get a lot of residue on my knickers but if I do too many in back entrance it gets a bit blocked and I find it hard to go to toilet. Hmm sorry thats a bit tmi but just thought I'd let you know xxx

Thanks for the replies ladies, I think it must be two a day as on the private prescription it says 'ad'. I have looked it up and it means twice a day.
Thanks for the tip cosmo Did you get any side effects from the progesterone, I am assuming it makes you feel all the pregnancy signs? I will be sure to ignore them (well I will try) xx

Well I've only ever taken it whilst pregnant so don't know if it's just pregnancy that makes me feel crap. Plus now I'm on steroids and injections and stuff too so hard to know what exactly causes what. Hope the progesterone works for you xxx

Hi I was told to take them twice a day at 12 hour intervals x

Hey Hun, on IuI u had them once a day and IVF I'm twice a day until 12 weeks, at 12 hour intervals.

Mine go back entrance, and it's a breeze! I've no issue with loo or residue etc.

They do make your boobies feel sore and bloat a little but nothing too much to complain xxx
